Cool, I got here encountering this problem. Thanks for the video, I must say Aaon has terrible quality control leaving factory. Aaon is definitely the manufacturer I least often come across in the commercial field but has the most issues.

Why digital scroll compresor protector board. Put 3 flash error code when cooling is not calling. Micro therm has not hooked up the boards to coms yet. Im just using temp stats to run cooling until coms are hooked. Its a costco in WA.

75 degree economizer switch over tempreture what does that mean? Does it mean free cooling coming won't happen after 75f ?

Do you have a “start up” video and what to look for. I’ve come across some units having flat circuits.

That is a good suggestion. We have thought about making one, but it would be pretty lengthy.

The last thing you say in this video is that in some machines you combine hot gas reheat with return bypass. Can you explain why you would want to do return bypass when you have hot gas reheat? Doesn't make sense to me.

This is a temporary install until building controls are integrated, so the thermostat wiring lands at the terminal strip in place of the control board wiring. Control board wiring should be removed from the terminal strip and thermostat wiring landed. Hope this helps, let us know if you have any other questions!

Have you ever worked on the AAON's with electric heat kits? I don't understand what locks it out with no alarm and 10VDC call.
@johnsonbarrow-costco3967
@johnsonbarrow-costco3967 Жыл бұрын
If you are speaking of heap pumps with electric heat, if the electrical feed is not large enough to handle both the compressors and heat strips at the same time, the lockout circuit for the strip heat goes through a N/O contact on the compressor contactor.
@JOutterbridge
@JOutterbridge Жыл бұрын
@@johnsonbarrow-costco3967More so electric heat only operation. 480 is present at the heat kit but the contactor won't engage. No 24V coming back from the main board even though the heat board is giving the staging signals.

What exactly is the purpose? I’ve never seen this before. Seems weird…I know you mentioned humidity…I just don’t get it.

To dehum without over cooling the space. A reheat coil is a condenser coil inline with the airstream. It is always downstream of the evaporator. It allows the evap to continue to pull moisture out of the air, without causing the space temp to drop to an uncomfortable level.
@johnsonbarrow-costco3967
@johnsonbarrow-costco3967 Жыл бұрын
Dehumidification is cooling. If you overcool the space that's a problem Hot gas reheat prevents that.
@jrh86

Excellent video, Can you wire the Tstat Y1 to the VCCX-2 to the B15 (remote Cooling) and W1 to B16 (remote heating) instead of the Copeland digital scroll controller?
@robglatzmayer5838
@robglatzmayer5838 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Brian. This video is really intended for units without functional controls. If the unit had a VCCX-2, there typically wouldn't be a need for a temp t-stat. But, having said that, yes, you can do what what you are asking. The VCCX-2 is quite versatile. You would have to get into the VCCX-2 config menu and enable those remote inputs, however.
