Paul Ortega was performing at a powwow in Minneapolis in the 1980s, and at the end of the set, he invited us non-Indians in the crowd to be adopted into the Wannabe tribe. Part of the ritual was chanting "owa tagu siam" until it became "oh what a goose I am", then we were adopted.

I played the harmonica on reservation, cowboy and brother of the road. Me and Buddy were great friends. Most of the songs he wrote he sang in the car when we were riding around or at my house.😢 he gave me his black hat
