Hi guys! What do you think of my TBR for 2025? I am really excited for it! Let me know what you plan on picking up in the new year and if you have any other suggestions for me let me know! I am always looking for new books to add to my TBR. I wish you all a Merry Christmas! If you celebrate something or nothing then I wish you an amazing week!

Hi guys❤ What is the last cozy or Christmas book you read? Looking for some recommendations😇

8 euros each is a bargain, particularly for that really nice copy of The Familiar! I hope you enjoy The Thursday Murder Club. I really like the series - good mysteries, believable and likeable characters and quite funny. I wonder if you'll think Pierce Brosnan is the right choice to play Ron once you've read the book. I have The Familiar on hold at the library and feel the same way you do about it. I'm glad one of your books was a hit and I hope next week goes more to plan.

Thanks! I think The Thursday Murder Club might be right in my alley. At least I hope so. The Familiar I am curious about, so will see what I think of that one... 😇

1. I just bought the Throne of Glass series, I haven’t actually started it yet but I’m dying to start reading it. 3. I just finished reading Fourth wing and purchased iron flame so I can’t wait for the onyx storm to be released. 4. Throne of Glass Series, Snowed In, How My Neighbour Stole Christmas 5. Probably The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo, I thought the book was gonna be a murder mystery by the title lol but the real reason was such a big twist for me 6. Yes, I’m planning to read all of Emily Henry’s books!
@julielocktree14 күн бұрын
Ohh these books are so amazing! 💕💕 I have tried reading Throne of Glass before but I only read the prequel and book 1 and 2. I never finished the series, because I didn't like it as much as ACOTAR. But I might give it another go, maybe in 2025 if I feel up to it😇

Hi everyone! What was your favoirte read of November? And what was your least favorite read? I would love to know😊

Such great suggestions! I have several book lovers on my Christmas list, unfortunately most of them are 100% eBook or audiobook readers at this point, so other than the gift card, I don't know if they would get much use out of the rest. I'm glad that physical books seem to be coming back though! Perhaps the reading tracker for one of my friends who obsessively marks all of her reading progress on Goodreads. She might like a written form of it. Thanks for the great ideas!

Hi hi!! There are so many books I hope to read before the end of the year. Thankfully I have the schoolholidays to try to make it happen. What are you planning to read in December?
@RDsLibrary18 күн бұрын
I like your wrap up and TBR in one video format because it gets across a lot of info in one video and I get a better sense of where you've been with your reading and where you're going next. I'm looking forward to your favourite, worst and 25 for 25 videos. I only read A Christmas Carol for the first time last year and really enjoyed it, though I've seen lots of movie interpretations. The Muppet version is really good and I really enjoyed Scrooged! with Bill Murray. The Dan Jones book sounds interesting, though I've never read any of his books. I haven't read The Adventure of the Chrismas Pudding (I don't love short stories) but I read Hercule Poirot's Christmas last week and it was good. It's a clever mystery though not very Christmas-y. I've just started The Women and I'm going to try There Will Come a Darkness.
@julielocktree15 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback! The Bill Murray version is one I have never seen. I will look it up around Christmas! I always love an adoptation of A Christmas Carol. Hercul Poirot's Christmas is one I read a year or two years ago. I do remember enjoying it, but I had hoped that it would be more Christmas themed... I hope you have a great reading month. Both books sound really interesting!

Anne of Green Gables series and Little House on the Prairie series got me into reading as a child in the 1980s. I finally read Jane Austen books in my early 30s and loved her! I’m 44 now and love all kinds of books, but a lot more fantasy books these days.
@julielocktree24 күн бұрын
Oh I love Anne of Green Gables. Little House on the Prairie is still on my TBR, I hope to read these sometime, because I used to love the tv-series as a kid.

Hi everyone, maybe you can help me out. But I love to read more books out of my commertzone. So if you have any great recommendations in the following genres then I would love to hear them! Horror, sci-fi, non-fiction, contemporary, contemporary romance and classics. Also let me know what your all time favorite fantasy book is. Beside trying out something new, I am always looking for more fantasy books 😉

Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series is old school fantasy but so fun. I loved reading them!

1. Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish? Yes! Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros almost done! Didn’t like it as much as the first one, Fourth Wing. I’m looking forward to the third book, Onyx Storm coming out in January. 2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year? Yes, Black Bird Oracle by Deborah Harkness! Dark academia with witches and vampires. 3. Is there a new release you're still waiting for? Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros for sure (see # 1 above) 4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year? Hmm. Probably The Christmas Tree Farm (cozy romance, fluffy light read), Infinity Gate by M. R. Carey (a sci fi about the multiverse!) and Menewood by Nicola Griffith (historical fiction about early life of St. Hilde in 7th century Britain - second book in a duology. So good! But very dense and long). 5. Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year? I don’t think so. Hilde by Nicola Griffith was probably my favorite book of the year. 6. Have you already started making reading plans for next year? Kind of - definitely Onyx Storm, and some more winter cozy romances, and dark academia type books. I’d like to read more of Ali Hazlewood’s STEM romances.

Ohh I love the books you mention! I can't wait for the release of Onyx Storm myself. I agree with you on Iron Flame, but I have hopes for the third one. I still have to finish the All Souls Trilogy bij Deborah Harkness, but I want to read more from her works and the one you mention sounds good! The Christmas Tree Farm is one of the books I am curious about. So far I am really enjoying the Dream Harbors books and I hope this one will be just as good as the first two. I hope you have a great time reading the books you are planning
@RDsLibraryАй бұрын
Best of luck with finding somewhere to live soon. I hope all the books you picked provide some comfort, distraction or stress relief. I've answered 4 of the questions. 3. Is there a new release you're still waiting for? Yes. Wind and Truth by Brandon Sanderson. Really interested to see how he'll conclude the first half of Stormlight. It's 1300 pages! 4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year? Fifty-Fifty by Steve Cavanagh (thriller) The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafón (historical) Everyone This Christmas Has a Secret by Benjamin Stevenson (mystery) 5. Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year? Probably not. I'm expecting all the above books to be really good, but I've read some fantastic books already this year and they might be hard to beat. 6. Have you already started making reading plans for next year? No. I might but don't usually. I've been reading quite a few Agatha Christie books, like you, but just when the mood takes me. I'll probably carry on with that next year. I'll also try fit in some non-fiction - I've read a few good ones this year. I find audiobooks of non-fiction make it seem less like a chore and easier to fit in when doing stuff around the house.
@julielocktreeАй бұрын
Thank you! I still want to read the Stormlight Archives. I am thinking of picking up the first one somewhere next year. I really like Sanderson and it has been a while since I read something by him. Maybe I will try some non-fiction audiobooks. I do like listening to podcasts, so maybe this will help me read them easier.

@RDsLibraryАй бұрын
I'm glad you found some enjoyable books, even if it was a slightly disappointing month for you overall. I totally get your reasons for DNFing those books. Both sound like they break the believability illusion and pull you out of the story. I'm all for DNFing - there are so many other books to read that might blow you away, and you can always come back to DNFs later. Revival sounds interesting. For somebody who's never re-read a book, 20 reads of Pride and Prejudice is impressive. I'm working my way through AC's books, mainly the Poirot ones. Poirot Investigates was an OK read for me. It was a good audiobook but it's hard to get drawn into short stories because there's not enough 'meat' to the story or enough clues to solve as you read along. Bookshops and Bonedust was pretty good, though I preferred Legends and Lattes, which felt more original at the time. They share a lot of the same story beats, but BaB has more action, stakes and imminent threat compared to LaL's more gentle vibe. My highest rated October books were First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston (thriller), Sweet Sorrow by David Nicholls (general fiction-romance), Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson (classic, sci-fi) and Loveless by Alice Oseman (general fiction). I hope you have a great November with your picks.
@julielocktreeАй бұрын
I agree completly with you on the DFN, there are way to many books in the world! And my tbr is to big. I also agree with you on Poirot Investigates. I finished it yesterday and it was okay. Not a big fan of short stories and everytime I felt that I started to connect to a story it ended! Not my favorite, but still enjoyable. Your October reads sound good! I hope you have a great reading month in November❤️
