I have lived in Lemont 22 years. It is a great place to raise kids. Great schools, etc. I disagree strongly with the portrayal of the Heritage Corridor Metra line. It is Mickey Mouse line with a limited schedule. Frieght trains literally block the way. In one case, our train had to back up because a freight train was on our line. I wish the service was better.

I grew up in Riverside in the '40s and '50s and early '60s. At the time, I thought it was normal. Only in later years have I realized what an unusual gem it was and is.

Thank-you for this lovely video of Riverside. It has been so long since I lived there as a little girl. My favorite places to go consisted of the beautiful library with all the stained glass windows and wonderful views of the Des Plaines River. I also have fond memories of the "Swan Pond" especially in the Fall of the year, as my Mother would always take us for walks there, particularly, on Sundays. Central School is just as beautiful as I remember it. I still miss this wonderful place after so many years. Thank-you, for the memories.
