I loved this game back in the day, to this day the MOST fun game for pvp I've ever played was GW with the actual GvG battles, with the factions Kurzick v Luxons as a close second IMO. Beat all 3 campaigns but never finished EOTN as GW2 took over for me until I got bored of it. I still return to GW1 from time to time though, cause it's quite fun still. Hope everyone is enjoying hte content!

Hey nice vid! I used to play gw back in the day and went through the entire game w/dlc. Lost my original account. ... Last week I just started over and bought all 3 on steam with a new account. I played as a mesmer originally, and loved it! Playing again as me/necro. It's awesome coming back to it, after the graphics update

Thinking about getting a steam deck and starting a new game. I used to play a long time ago. For new players you want the belt pouch for a little more storage for the longer runs and the salvage tools will come in handy later in the game when you want to craft your own (better) armor. You’ll also get a storage after the Searing. Also those interested in Ranger profession (my personal fav)the troll ungent is a healing skill you will want for yourself and if you have a pet you will need comfort animal to heal and resurrect your animal which you can trade the stalker to charm a wolf and/or a bear here in pre. There are more choices after the Searing and other Campaigns. And! /petname put a space and then name your animal.

Been a gw2 player on and off for the past ten years. Saw in Chat that GW was on sale for $9.99 so why not? I spent the couple of days in the starter zone (Old Ascalon). Weird combo of Ranger/Necro lol Finally out of that zone and onto the story! This will be fun

Helo, Welcome to Tyria... one of the content that fun to do in end game is Meta Event in expansion map. especially Heart of Thorn meta event are the most popular and always populated. do you know that you can access wiki through game chat? if you typed "/wiki" on the game chat it will open your browser to Guildwars2 wiki. and if you typed "/wiki event timer" or "/wiki et" it will open gw2 meta event & world bosses schedule. Do you also know that hero point on expansion maps give 10 point for each hero point rather than hero point on base map that only 1 point. so it will be easy for open elite specs from expansion map. My recommendation first short goal is to get gliding mastery from hearth of thorns and collect mounts from Path of Fire at least till get springer to get access to high terrain, because springer can jump

Hey Des, I watched a number of your videos recently and to be fair, they deserve a lot more views than they are currently getting. Despite the low views number, your video output rate is impressive! :) Here's hoping for your breakthrough. One minor comment: the constant background music gets in the way of the game experience a little. At some point it becomes disturbing, making it difficult to focus on the game story and your narration. I would suggest to remove it from stream audio output, to improve the viewer experience. Thank you.

@Desmondous cool. You can also change your 2nd profession at any point. I was thinking it would be really cool to see you run a tank build. You can switch your 2nd prof to elementalist and there are a TON of earth skills that actually grant you tons of armor, resistances, health, etc. It could be a really cool playstyle acting as a tank that balls up agro for your party. The ranger skill whirling defense is also REALLY good for tanking

Greetings. Came across this tonight to listen to while playing GW. Been playing since Beta. Still love it. Still working towards GWAM. There is so much to do in this game. Just one thing though, Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall are all stand-alone campaigns, so it is not one full storyline. Each "country" within the world has its own storyline and quests. The advantage to starting in Nightfall is that you get Heroes, like your own personal henchmen that you can level up, and update armour and weapons. There is also an expansion The Eye of the North which draws you back into the conflict roughly fifteen to twenty years after the destruction of Ascalon in Prophecies. All very good games and stories. And the graphics are still beautiful 20 years later. Can I suggest that you amke sure you upgrade to the Game of the Year edition (in store), this will give you access to the summoning stone (reusable) for the Fire Imp and the bonus weapons. Wave, also an Aussie.

Yeah you'd have to give your current pet to a tamer to get a new pet, but also this frees up a slot for a usable skill. In pvp you still need both pet skills to bring your pet and heal them.

Started in 05. Original chracter will turn 19 at the end of this month. Stopped in 07, returned in 2023. Been playing off and on since. This game is still fun and has aged fairly well.

YUP, with Warrior I went as a second profession Monk and I didn't like it. I thought the same thing Warrior & Monk would be a templar. But I found you are using smite spells versus healing. I wonder can you change your second profession if you don't like it? I am thinking Necro or Ranger for second profession. Last time I played this game was when Nightfall first came out its been a very long time.

For sure man! My understanding is once you commit to that second profession there is no changing it unfortunately so I imagine it would mean re-rolling the character! Necro ranger sounds like it could be really fun man! Since I imagine you will have your ranger pet and then potentially necro minions aswell so you would have a small army basically :D I'm interested to see how you go!

In Prophecies, when you become 'Ascended' by completing the three missions in the Crystal Desert, then Augury Rock, you can either do the scattered missions to change profession, or just go to the Profession Changer NPC in The Great Temple of Balthazar. It costs 500 gold to first learn a new 2nd profession, but you can learn them all. Once you do, you can change 2nd profession anytime when you're in an outpost.

@@DevlogBill Hunted! mission is part of the main storyline of Nightfall, and you'll get it when you get to Yolon Haven (after Consulate Docks mission). Hunted! is required for 2nd profession changes, but isn't required for travel to other campaigns. As far as getting to Prophecies, in Kamaden you can get a mission from Deras Tenderlin (Terror in Tyria), that will take you to Lion's Arch, where you can then pick up the Prophecies storyline. He may not offer the mission until your character is a certain level, maybe lvl 12? (not sure about that) You won't get the very beginning story, except the outpost Missions, as you have to actually start a Prophecies character to experience Pre-Searing and Old Ascalon area missions. You can travel the maps from Lion's arch to the previous areas, and then be able to at least have the outposts & areas. Oh, also in Kamaden is a mission to get your character to Kaineng City (Factions campaign), as well as a mission to get to Eye of the North expansion. It's the same with Factions as Prophecies, in that you start in Kaineng and pick up the campaign story at that point, so your character won't have the beginning Factions story. Again, you can travel to Shing Jea Island to get the outposts & areas and do the outpost missions. By the way, GW has a great Wiki with tons of information. wiki.guildwars.com

Hey Mate! I'm glad to hear your really enjoying it! In terms of inventory space you can upgrade it to a maximum of 110 slots :) you can also upgrade your inventory by training your horse riding aswell so don't forget that you can do that daily to increase your space aswell :)

the shiny glowing man is a ley line anomaly, related to a quest chain achv, it goes away once you complete it, but many players choose not to so he stays around.

I played GW1 when lauched back in 2005, but never finished the campaign. Now that I´m waiting for the next WoW expansion, I started a new character (W/Mo, now lvl 8), and if this series continue I will follow it. Good work.

Nice, been playing thins since for a few years now. Yes, there is a stat sheet on pets, The dire Rollerbeetle is what you would want for max DPS. Easier to tame the bear if you get someone to help you as the bear chases them while you cast charm animal, but it has a useless skill now so people don't use it anymore. After pre next step upgrade the armor or get to Droknar's Forge for Max armor (aka Drok run). Also if you played long ago you don't need a "gate monkey" anymore to farm charr bags etc. You can open the gate yourself now.

Hi There! Sure thing! So I'm a Graphic designer so I have access to the Adobe Creative Suite. For video editing I use Premier Pro :) if I need to do anything with motion graphics I use after effects :) I hope this helps and good luck with your future videos :)

Not a hassle at all :) So if your looking for free resources there are some pretty handy tutorials on adobe's website aswell as here on KZbin :) if your happy to pay a little bit of money though, I learned what I know from study but also courses on Udemy, in particular Daniel Walter Scott. He might even have some free resources on KZbin aswell :) I hope this helps!

Hey! Idk if in your later video you did it but you can scroll out to get a more open vision. Ps, Big tips here, in the chat you can type "/wiki (any item name or location or anything). The wiki is huge and really complete. You need to use it otherwise the crafting and achievement will be a real pain ✌️

Hey Mate! There are number of ways to move forward from this point :) There is always more crafting which I'm working on putting a video together for this weekend but outside of that and if your playing along then there is either the storyline quests to do in Auridon, or the zone based storyline which will help you work further into exploring the zone. There is also quest lines available in Auridon for the fighters or mages guilds which can also be really fun too!! I tend to follow through the storyline and zone storylines myself whilst also doing crafting dailies
