the way he picked up the dial with metal tweezers risking damaging the dial and printed numbers on its face told me all i needed to know about his skill, also replacment 2nd hand movements for these watches are not that hard, 100s of thousands were made over the years.

I'd like to see proper credits given to all the craftspeople on the show and not just the presenter. Does Andrew have a surname?

The people in the repair shop to my mind do a trimendous job, they put everything into they've got to make everything right for the person that brought it in to the Repair shop.

Pity we're not told anything about the vintage history of such a clock, how old is it? Where was it made? ☹

Well. That was disappointing. Big led up to the Australian way of upholstery and then nothing. Just the revel. Lovely result but what’s the point. Guess this is just an ad for your shop.

I kind of think you're missing the point where you show the piece restored & the person to whom it was of great value.. giving it back to them??!!!

Well that sucks. Where is the after product? Went looking for a conclusion and there isn't one. As I live in the States I can't tune into the show. So it's a bummer no seeing the finished project.

oh, lovely. look after that one: they're still highly valued & used in repair shops here in Oz: i'm 35, medically out of work now, but i spent years in a shoe repair shop using one of those regularly.

aussie fan, absolutely delighted to see a local Repair shop, especially as a former repairer (medical out) in 2 industries. regarding the parts for the train set, i think it'd be possible to replicate spare w the help of a 3d printer & some sourced brass, maybe graphite, & build out the needed parts by replicating the one still there. other options like casting plastics are also viable. just for anyone else wanting to repair similar issues.
