Just to clarify; EC have never competed in the Eurovision Song Contest. They did apply to compete with the song Pump It, but the German ESC people didn’t think it would do well as it wasn’t radio-friendly enough. The song Hurrikan is a big fuck you to them about it. The first part of Hurrikan is based on German Schlager music, which to many is worse than any metal music, hence the warning at the start of the video 🙂

Rise or die and enemy will probably always be their best. But something to be said about fys is I think they’ve always written the current most popular kind of punk music and add their own flavor to it, which makes it better than every other band in the genre. It’s our time was like old school senses fail + coheed and cambria. Rise or die was like set your goals with actual decent vocalists met lamb of god. Enemy is like the culmination of them perfecting that sound, though I still prefer most of the tracks on rod. In some way was their pop rock attempt at reaching beyond an “easycore” fanbase. The term easycore is honestly probably the worst thing to happen to fys and seriously stunted their growth because by comparison, every other easycore band there has ever been completely sucks. Like really bad. And somehow fys got lumped in with that bs genre. I feel like that album was just them having had enough of dealing with that. Ep and self titled were like capitalizing on the story so far style hype but of course with the flavor that only fys can bring, because they actually know how to play their instruments and write songs well. Brain pain was like an experimental take on that type of sound, and I think the new album now is capitalizing on the hype bands like turnstile have been getting, except fys is also light years better than turnstile

I guess in short, I don’t think this is their best work, but I think it’s phenomenal so far. And pretty much if you like punk music and you listen to FYS, it’s only downhill when you find other bands

The "performance" in the music video isn't great. They also made the intro twice as long for the sake of the video. Which does seem to drag out. However, the song is a fucking banger. You went in negatively and it effected your enjoyment of the song. MickeyMouse dude was miserable from the get-go.

The video itself definitely was the worst part but we had a lot of fun watching it! if you dig the song that rules. We goofed on it pretty hard but we arent trying to take anything away from anyone who likes it, we're just having fun. Thanks for checking it out!

So hype that you guys are so hype. I had the same reaction as you guys did when i found them. I have been bored of music just in general for the last 5 years. Knocked loose poppy track got me interested in seeing what else is out there and I just searched "2024 metalcore" scroll scroll scroll, randomly clicked on kaonashi cuz album art looks raw and got immediately sucked in and now im obsessed. Completely blew me away and the lyrics to pretty much every song gives me the chills.

Bought a used Ipod back in 2010 with music already on it. Had a couple songs by Maylene, Mushroomhead and Mudvayne. Really changed my musical interests. Bought album 4 and loved it. Memories of the Grove is still the best song by them in my opinion.
