Bougth the A30 version last week, rode some trails over both days of the weekend. Wow… super happy with the bike, love the geometry. First experience with the Dyname motor, so far it’s great. For those that think the idea of an efatbike is stupid, you are so wrong. It’s a perfect match! For the record, I ride Quebec snowy trails. I love this bike. Also for those who like numbers. A 10km ride in -3 to -4 deg Celsius dropped the battery to about 94%. Singletracks with equal climbs and downs, kept mostly in Eco and Trail, but used Trail+ for a couple of steep short climbs. ❤

Live in the midwest where its mostly flat and not chunky. I have a 2023 element. Had it on a 120 34sc with a dps remote all summer. Now experimenting with a 140 lyrik with a marz air bomber. Would you say the new model is more efficient and climbs better?

I have a fox 34sc and a remote dps shock, 165mm crank on my element. I have to keep the fit4 on pos.4 to keep pedal strikes away, but the bike seems too soft. Gonna try to add spacers😢

Hi Rocky Mountain Bike, I'm Mateo from Colombia. I have been working the past year creating content about bikes... Now I feeling ready to start a new chapter of my life. Here in Colombia this brand is not into the fist thought of the people and I want to help you with this... If you just give a bike I'm going to work creating content every week talking about the brand and the feeling on the bike... We will have a lot of experiences and will be f$&_ng greattttt! So if you see an opportunity working with me, let me know... I really love biking and I'm a very good rider 🎉🎉

While being unique in it's own ways (flip chip, etc.) this bike reminds me of Cannondale Scalpel very much - flex pivot chain stays, long chain stays, very long reach with relatively short head tube... Angles are more aggressive on Rocky Mountain but I see more similarities than difference. So it's a good thing to have an alternative for those who doesn't like internal cable routing through headset.

As an owner of the previous version Instinct Powerplay, I can confidently say that 165mm cranks and the super low bottom bracket height these have makes pedal strikes the biggest downside this bike has. Great bike, as long as you don't need to pedal up rocky tight terrain... (also shorter cranks are almost impossible to buy).

@TheLastMoccasin2 ай бұрын
@@urielgonzalez9916 Hmm, I looked at both their websites and don’t see any cranks specific for the odd Raceface Cinch setup that Rock Mountain Powerplay uses. Can you be a little more specific about what exact model are Cinch compatible?

Why do you feel the need to show so much skidding on trails? Especially the loamers that are for the most part unsanctioned. As a company with roots on the North Shore, I would hope you would show more respect to the trails. (And yes, I understand that you give back to the trails, but why glorify trail destruction in the first place?)

Cdn- 7500k-15k Carbon I saw 44lbs 46lbs alloy Wish it had a bit more travel. But the power look great!!!
@TheLastMoccasin2 ай бұрын
Whoa, that is not much lighter than the old version... 51lbs for the old full power 720wh carbon version. Will be interesting to compare to new full power big battery bikes coming out with DJI motors that likely will be about the same weight as this...
@IamSeafarer2 ай бұрын
wtf... this feels completely out of touch with competition? I love rocky's feel on trails and this sounded amazing to me on paper but if it's actually still 45 lbs or so that's completely a turn off for this price point and product placement
@TheLastMoccasin2 ай бұрын
@@IamSeafarer Agreed, I don't think 45 lbs is bad or anything, but if you can get a full power, big battery version for the same price that is the same weight, why do the "SL" compromise. But this was in development way before the latest competition revealed what is coming soon.
@BryonWilliams882 ай бұрын
165 cranks are to long. How stupid are these guys to not give people 155 option
@_Jake.From.Statefarm_2 ай бұрын
@@TheLastMoccasin My Heckler SL is enduro'd out and it's 46 lbs with a fazua motor.. The important factor is where the weight is.. if you add 5/10 lbs at the bottom bracket it handles the same unlike the normal full fats where the weight moves up the towards the downtube and makes handling much less nimble.

what does the tour+ motor setting do?
@chris45362 ай бұрын
You can change and customize the power output percentage of each of the four defined levels. These are the factory present levels; 1: Eco = 25% 2: Trail = 45% 3: Trail Plus = 75% 4: Ludicrous = 100% Cheers, Chris

so it’s not an automatic mode like the Bosch motor is it?
@zayon01702 ай бұрын
@@tbone5727 indeed, i believe only bosch have the "eMTB" mode BUT as a previoulsy specialized and now shimano owner, you dont need that, just get it properly tuned :)
@chris45362 ай бұрын
@@tbone5727 Not auto as such. You tell the bike how much assistance you want it to provide by picking one of the set power modes.

Mt Prevost or as locally known as Swuq'us in local Coast Salish hulquminum language. The trails are actually in North Cowichan not DUNCAN, where we as local government have invested considerable funds and officially sanctioned with many upgrades this past season. Big shout-out to the decades of OG trail builders who created the network on the mountain and now Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society who maintain and develop the world class network. It is so exciting to see elite world riders like Vaea gravitate towards the region for the equally amazing trails and riding community. Thanks Vaea for inspiring all the riders on the island and to Rocky Mountain Bikes for putting this video together.
