----- A lot of bike tours stop on that bridge and watch river surfers. Up close and personal the power of the river looks (I watched from the bridge, no surfing for me) looks awesome !

There's a pipe near the rock that used to pump out warm water - it looks like it closed in 2014, though... the water that was used to cool down the power plant and if you paddled out there it was a lot warmer (also attracted stingrays around there) so you could acclimate to the cold on the paddle out. I just decided to move to warmer water, also an option...

I grew up in California. Are you from here? I moved back when I retired from the military to finish my Masters at Chico State. Since covid, I've just been traveling in my Taco and now 5th Gen 4 runner! The area in your video is so beautiful, especially now after all the rain we've gotten. @blessedveteran still haven’t changed anything and it’s holding up great. Not noises when driving or anything. The only thing that I would have done differently is make the top of the platform over the fridge into two separate pieces so that I can access the fridge while in bed easier.

People, naming lesser known spots is a kook move. This wave isn't a secret but it is off the beaten track. Let places be special and secret for the find. If utube success is more important than that, then maybe film a different activity.

More like 2-3 foot! Maybe 4 foot at Gaviotas but at least your on it. Was that Roberts Hotel u were staying at? When i would stay there without getting a unit at Gaviotas he would take us into his second story casa and we would watch his TV and sip Don Julio until sunrise and he is a good man but the place is a little sketchy these days and some good trips down there when the northwest swells sweep thru from November to May.

Yes, depending on River flow, they can adjust the angle of the ramp to create ideal waves for surfing, kayaking, etc.

Back in the early 1970's we used to surf there ,and camp right where that big hotel is standing. We'd make that our stop for the night before heading to much better ,and warmer spots south of there. We got arrested by the federales one morning after surfing,as they had planted mary j in our vw bug after a search. We bribed them and continued on our way. I always said ,if anything is going to happen, it going to happen in Mexico.
