Thank you very much Miriam for this video which very clearly explains the mechanisms and behaviours which perpetuate the pain cycle, and for your advices which are just as clear and simple at the same time, and even it is hard to implemente and needs courage, this is in reality the only way to get out of this vicious cycle. Here is for me your best so useful video to help me in my recovery. 🙏♥️

@@Thinkerdost there are ways you can gradually clear out doubt on your own by looking for indicators and reading some of the recommended books on this subject. Plenty of free resources out there. Yes, of course for coaching coaches ask for a fee, just like doctors ask for a fee. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to do this for a living and we wouldn't even be able to create free content like this either, because it requires time and other resources!

@@painoutsidethebox Sorry Miriam I hadn't seen your response to Thinkerdost. But I think my answer was complementary. It is obvious that you cannot offer your services for free, and it is already extraordinary to have all this free content available for people who really do not have sufficient financial means for coaching. Hello! Thanks for your information. I've been having psychosomatic back pain for over 45 years. I went through all possible treatments and different types of specialists. Finally I came to the conclusion: psychosomatic back pain. It comes and goes anytime and anywhere. In my case it's related to my mental health. Any stress or situation can trigger that. If I don't have it for a while I have noticed I am waiting for it😮 I don't talk about it with anyone but I keep touching my back all the time. Also doing some meditation and self talk. My psychosomatic pain is more tolerable now because of the above technique. I know it will come and go but it depends on my subconscious mind. Keep fighting ❤

I'm glad you're making progress. Yes, realizing that it's a mindbody problem is the first step. If you haven't already, I would really suggest that you read one of Dr John Sarno's books to understand what other aspects may be triggering your pain. You can totally eliminate this, even if it's been so many years. I can also help through my coaching and programs if you feel called to. Take care!

Do you think this is true for trigeminal neuralgia?

Yes of course, tmj is a very common TMS symptom. Address it as a mindbody issue using TMS-based work and you'll quickly see the difference!
I have had burning arms and legs for about a year now . Not all the time though if I'm busy or focused on a certain activity then i don't seem to have symptoms , or i just I just don't notice them! . after many medicals I've resided to the fact that its anxiety related . would your program help me to shift my mindset to be more positive ? I know I can heal, but just don't know how to!

What is the success rate of your program??
@painoutsidetheboxАй бұрын
I don't have exact figures but only about 1% have asked for a refund (I issue a refund within 30 days to those who purchase and think they won't benefit). Not everyone completes the program till the end (like with all online programs), but from those who complete it and whom I've talked to I'd say about 40% had complete symptom elimination and 50% experienced improvement. The improvement typically continues after program completion as individuals continue implementing the teachings and habits. About 20% need a coaching session or additional therapy / work.

I am a rock climber too, but since the fibro diagnosis a few years ago, I cannot stop myself from fearing my symptoms. I have fibro flu for almost a week after each climb. It feels awful. I still have to work full time. I have to pay, so to speak, for doing something I love. Those flares might not ever go away. I’ve been told by docs and family, that I shouldn’t climb, but I do it anyway. The flares after climbing are a reality of my life. What do I do about that?

Why my symptoms move? Change everyday i get new sensation…and I freak out…i fear them…
@painoutsidetheboxАй бұрын
That's because you have TMS (Tension Myoneural Syndrome). When symptoms move we also call it Symptom Imperative. It's actually a good sign because it means that your symptoms are not fixed. Keep learning and if you haven't already, read a book by Dr John Sarno - it will change your life.

If I have repetitive strain injury in my left arm but not the right arm, and perform the exact same actions with both arms, why would my mind experience pain with one arm but not the other?
@painoutsidetheboxАй бұрын
Because you believe you have a repetitive strain injury. This may be true if you've had a recent injury in the last month or so, but in most cases repetitive strain injury is a misdiagnosis. your body is not injured but your brain has learnt to perceive danger in that part of the body and creates pain to try and protect you. Learn about TMS (Tension Myoneural Syndrome) and everything will start to make sense for you, I promise!

It is still so confusing if it's TMS if an MRI says severe arthritis in hips and I've had the pain for years. I listened to one of your videos awhile ago and was able to get the extreme leg pain to stop for a a couple hours. Whenever I exercise or walk I'm right back in pain with leg stiffened up like a tree trunk.
@painoutsidethebox2 ай бұрын
Many individuals have arthritis in the hips but no pain. If the pain changes from day to day, or you've had 'exceptions' as you mentioned above, then probably TMS. Arthritis can be present anyway without pain, and it is often wrongly blamed for causing pain. You also mention just one leg... but you probably have arthritis in both hips right? If you still feel unsure, it's best to consult a TMS doctor like Dr David Schechter to give you a more accurate diagnosis.
@wr94182 ай бұрын
@@painoutsidethebox Thank you so much for your time and videos. You help so many people. Yes, I have "severe arthritis" in both hips. Left worse than right. I wish I didn't get MRI, seems worse since I read the report. Thank you for hope.

Even my pscho therapist is annoyed with me because he told me for years that the backpain and tinnitus are psychosomatic and I just dont get what I should do. Sure, like stress less. Right, am I just supposed to sit here and do nothing??? At this point I dont even want to asl him anymore because its frustrating and I also dont wanna annoy him anymore
@painoutsidethebox2 ай бұрын
No it's the very opposite of just sitting there and doing nothing actually ;-) Start by reading one of Dr John Sarno's book, then work consistently on changing those habits and traits that you identify as keeping you stuck in pain. I have a program to help you do just that if you';re interested, it's only $143 with lifetime access. But you do need to commit to the work, it's definitely not about simply reading or watching a video and doing nothing. Lots of self-reflection tasks are involved, plus changes in habits that are probably keeping you stuck with the symptoms. P.S. Your psychotherapist is probably unfamiliar with TMS / mindbody principles so he may not be the best person to help you. You need a TMS Practitioner, or at least, read an author who is into TMS, such as Sarno, Howard Schubiner or Steve Ozanich.

Hi. Do you know anything or story about someone with pins, tingling, burning pain all over the body…keep changing and stay all day long. Please
@joesedlacek75522 ай бұрын
Ok, so I have been following your advice. I’m convinced there is nothing wrong with my back I have proven this by exercising and lifting weights with no problems I even started to do jogging with no pain in my back, yet when I stand for awhile or walk for a short distance my lower back and down the side of my leg just aches and I feel tingling in my feet. Why does my brain perceive danger, danger from what? How else do you convince your brain that you’re not in any danger? I can run, but I can’t walk? I more confused than my brain
@painoutsidethebox2 ай бұрын
Very likely, when you're walking a short distance or stand you have more time to 'think', contemplate negatively and tune into the pain area, whereas when you're jogging or doing more vigorous exercise you are more distracted. There might be more work needed in the area of emotional processing and expression. Do you journal regularly? Are you able to respect yourself, your boundaries and show yourself love and compassion? These aspects are equally important for healing.
@glennreynolds25572 ай бұрын
How do you overcome misaphonia? The brain perceives certain sounds as dangerous and triggers an emotional response. Should I approach it exactly the same as pain TMS symptoms?
@painoutsidethebox2 ай бұрын
Yes more or less. Re-interpreting the sounds as safe by letting go of your resistance to them. If you avoid exposure you're likely creating more 'danger signals' so you should gradually expose yourself to these sounds, all while also working on any underlying emotional issues (stress, depression, etc always make these symptoms worse)

My question is, how do you know you just haven't fully healed from an injury or if it's now chronic. I still feel my head/neck needs to heal, but I could now just have chronic pain. It's been nearly 4 months. I've had some tests, and the doctors/ pt's think it should go, but it's taking ages. I have a huge amount of anxiety about it for various reasons, including doctors have missed a serious diagnosis. Perhaps this could be the reason for not getting better ??
@painoutsidethebox3 ай бұрын
I think your anxiety around it is the reason why it's not getting better. Almost 4 months is a long time, and from what I understand your tests showed nothing serious. One of the ways you'll know it's not an injury is also if the pain varies a bit sometimes (e.g. less pain on some days, or it tends to move around, even if it's in the same area. Injuries typically hurt at the exact site of injury, TMS pain radiates and acts more weirdly).

Miriam, is spondylolisthesis considered a structural problem? I hear you say the if it’s not a structural problem it’s probably TMS. The doctor wants to do surgery, but I’m not feeling very good about that.
