Did protego add a poison on a button hold or was it just the stun? Been a bit since the tutorial. When we venture outside the castle we'll keep an eye out for them. How challenging do they tend to be?

@@notthebestgaming4870 No, sucessfully blocking an attack with protego usually just results in you countering with a stupify (If you press the attack button right after blocking, or just keep holding the protego, i'm on pc with a mouse and keyboard so...) If you don't fancy brewing your own potions (because finding all the ingredients is too much of a pain in the ass) you can use Hopping pots (buy the schematics from tomes and scrolls) and they will constantly brew a random potion for you as long as you have the recipe (It's how i did most of my brewing :P I definitely would have failed that class, lol) The recipe for the luck potion should already be in your inventory when the patch was released and installed. As for the merlin trials, I'd say the hardest are probably the jumping ones where you have to complete a curcuit by jumping onto stone pillars to make leaves grow on them, touching the ground before the route is complete resets it. I'm not sure if the devs patched it out, but it used to be possible to do those particular trials while on a broom, might still be worth trying. :P

Ha! My only full souls game reference is Bloodborne. Which was excellent, though giving me a very hard time in the DLC. I have Elden Ring sitting on my shelf begging to be played. I will come back to this game as I dig the sci-fi style, plus the combat is fun... once I took the time to properly learn it. And you're a braver gamer than I. One shot from trash mobs, good God.

I have played those, working on the Platinum for Uncharted 4. In one of the episodes I talk briefly why I veered away from God of War 3. Main point was a lack of a PS3 at the time.

After my first attempt I was not sure I'd like the game. But going back to it a second time, going slower and doing some training helped a lot. I like me some challenge in games, but generally nothing too hard. Though I'll always complain when I die. 😄

Thanks for watching. Pushing through the demo quickly bit me in the rear. If you miss the initial tutorial on Blink where it states to look at Eve's sword you're almost at a loss for timing. When I went through the demo a second time, read the instructions and did some training it helped a great deal.

Probably me hitting dodge and clicking L3 around the same time thus botching the timing. I did discover at one point holding the dodge button will make Eve run after a dodge. Of course it would require me holding the button and not double tapping.

I observed how he played it d@mn most of streamers paid attention to the guides i guess he just based the control same as god of war 🤣 then rush the game 🗿 and the thing i thought in the first camp if he didn't upgrades i said to my self "Ah , he's gonna get clapped by abbadon every retry ☠️"

Plus he didn't bother to explore the terrains and look for the dead body's to find Eve's core upgrades for beta and health core ups 🤣 just u know fast run the demo done 🗿😭

Very true. I did rush the demo and paid the price for it. That's why I went back and gave it a second run through; taking my time to explore, reading the tutorials, upgrading and using the training mode. It helped quite a bit. Who knew? 🤣 I still feel the blocking has a delay to it, which is something I have to improve on and time correctly. Plus, there are skills to open up the dodge and parry windows. Good for for players like me with horrid timing. Thanks for watching it through though.

Indeed. I watched 100 people play this demo and this one is the worst of those 100. He is not interested in learning the lessons the tutorial offers, does not pay attention to instructions on the screen, ignores the HUD and therefore forgets to heal. Then he bitches how bad the game is. Haha. I have seen women wearing the skin suit defeat the Abaddon on first try. This dude needed like 10 attempts in the normal suit. Let that sink in.

I am glad they added a story mode. Gives more players a chance to give the game a try.

Shame there were not a few lines throughout the story which made a reference to the wand core. Makes sense though, even with three it can make a voice recording session longer than they want.

@@notthebestgaming4870 no, for the clue to the math doors you simply have to find the arithmency classroom (I forgot exactly where it is, just like i forgot where the kitchen portrait is and where the prefects bathroom is), but once you're in or near that classroom, the clue should show up with a revelio. Also, the black flags on the map represent areas with side-quests, those are optional, but it's best to grab them all as you come across them (haven't finished watching part 3 or 4 yet so if you've figured that out, ignore this last bit :P)

Next time we get to exploring we'll need to find the classroom. Also good to know about the flags, we have not happened on it yet. And we do need to find the prefects bathroom. When it is time to go, go in the best place. 😁

@@notthebestgaming4870 Yeah, I noticed it when I watched the next part. The change was like night and day. I don't remember which video it was but I believe you were wondering if you should include things like combat shrines and races that may require multiple tries for the success. In my opinion, yes, I would love to see those entirely because to me it's more about the journey of seeing the player getting better at it than the goal of them clearing the challenge in the very last attempt. If it ends up being extremely long, let's say five hours of retries, then it leaves the viewer with the option to watch everything or skip ahead when they've had enough, although in such cases if it is that long then there's also an option of cutting it shorter and making it into 15 - 20 minutes long segment where you highlight your best tries and failures. The content that I'm absolutely fine with cutting out is things like going to a place where you have already been and grinding the enemies for spirit light. If it is exploring a new area or passing an old area then those are absolutely fine but there's not much to see when a player stays at the same place until they get 5000 more spirit light from the enemies.

Great insight. I did a bit of both in my Bloodborne playthrough. I would skip ahead after a number of defeats, but show battles which I tried something new, the fight went completely sideways or I began learning. For the Orphan, I had to cut many attempts or I'd still be posting. 😆 I am with you on grinding, it can be a chore watching, recording and playing. Do you feel there is a need to grind in this game?

@@notthebestgaming4870 If you are trying to buy and upgrade absolutely everything that requires spirit light then yes, but if you are fine with getting the stuff you really want then doing those races and killing the enemies normally should be enough to get most of the things. It also depends on the amount of exploration you do and if you can find hidden spirit lights.

I do tend to search out as many nooks and crannies as I can while exploring. There were a few upgrades which I know I will pass on, such as greater damage dealt and taken, for one. I'll see how it plays out.

I had to go back into the video and check. Quite right, it is Levioso. I never heard of that spell before, something new. Our minds see what we want to see sometimes.
