Btw, I was reminded of some of the classics from growing up around Rodeos in the 60's and 70's, from some of my dad's old pals like Waylon, Willy, Roy Clark, Glen Campbell, Buck Owens, Bob Wills, Enerst Tubb, Rex Allen, Marti Robbins, Frankie Lane, Herb Alpert, and a few came to mind might be a fit for you and your band that would resonate with a lot of country classic fans: Ernest Tubb - Games People Play - Thanks Alot - Lots Of Luck - I'm Movin' On Glen Campbell - Rhinestone Cowboy. Buck Owens & Ringo Star Act Naturally, Bob Wills " Big Ball's In Cowtown" "Stay a Little Longer" - San Antonio Rose Rex Allen - The Rodeo Twist, Son Don't Go Near the Indians Waylon Jennings - Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way - Dukes of Hazzard - Luckenbach, Texas Roy Clark Roy Guitar Boogie George Frayne: Hot Rod Lincoln. And how about an Elvis Viva Las Vegas and an inspired version of Love Potion No. 9? Thanks again!

Great to hear such an almost forgotten classic song revived and honored so well! When I was a kid I remember seeing George Jones preform it at the Iowa or New Mexico State fair. I seem to recall my dad's pal Buck Owens also did it but I don't see Buck's rendition anywhere, maybe it was something he only did live.

Just showed up here 11 years later to observe that your vocal intonation is absolutely spot on and 100% down-home countrified. Sounds good, sir. A superb rendition of a Merle Haggard classic.

Well Done! Reminds me of how much love and miss Japan, and that girl made in Japan. Buck Owens was a friend of my father, I think this was a bit of a hit for him but not sure if he wrote it?

Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting. ... "Made In Japan" was written by Bob Morris and Faye Morris, and Buck Owens took the song to No. 1 in 1972. ... Very cool that your dad was friends with Buck! ... All my best.

@@adrianbundy7687 Thanks for the info. I'd like to know what the inspiration for the song was. My dad was a cowboy, stuntman and announced and produced rodeos, and for a brief bit sang with the Sons of The Pioneers and was friends many Cowboy artists of that golden age. I met several such as: Buck, Chet Atkins, Roy Clark, Waylon, Willy, Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb, Rex Allen, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Homer and Jethro, Ken Curtis, Glen Campbell, Merle Haggard, Herb Alpert, Burl Ives, Marty Robbins, Sammy Davis and a few others, and I very much appreciate you carrying on in the footsteps of such talented people and epic songs.

Yes, sir. The song was co-written by Carl Belew and W.S. Stevenson. ... My cover of the song here is in the style that Marty Robbins did the song. ... Thanks a bunch for listening! All my best to you.
