TallyFlex is a free iPhone app that helps make those paper and pencil observations into digital. There are others you can pay human money for, but paying human money is for the birds. IMO.

I was in special Ed from 5th grade till i graduated from hs. Let me tell you. Massachusetts special ed is wayyyyy different then it is in Florida. In mass the kids are much more intelligent and normal. They just can't learn quickly have adhd. In Florida they just put you there with ppl with down syndrome, alcohol syndrome, autism.

should I share my sons neurological assesment with his teachers? The Dr. outlined very specific suggestion on helping him with his behavior.

Yes, if there is signed consent to have communication with school and the Dr. I would say that could be helpful for his education.

1st teaching position and my para has been there multiple years ... got a grant for motor equipment and because of space it's in our room ... I started the year not feeling like the space is my own because I want to get rid of things that I don't think fair to say no too (because of the grant) ... ok , here's my year, doing the best I can ... ideas

As a SPED preschool teacher, it is so difficult to hand off students to another school for kinder with a detailed IEP with the needed accomodations and modifications listed, just to have them call me wondering what to do with the kid. I mean, did you even READ the IEP?

I guess I need to go back to the beginning and watch this series. I missed a lot of good programs while I was still teaching. (Language arts involves A LOT of time spent grading.) I'm retired now and learning about Two and a Half Men, Friends, and Mike and Molly.

Thank you. I can’t believe that you teachers in the US spend so much of your own money on ESSENTIALS. As a teacher in the UK, things are getting worse, regarding resourcing. However, most of the thousands of pounds I have spent over the years, has mostly been on EXTRAS for me and my students. Educators, anywhere in the world, should not be expected to spend ANY of their own money, to do their job! 😢
