Wow! I just love how you actually explain and show what it is that you are knitting and what it does. That way you learn so much better and faster imo. Will definitely use this video for when my friend has her new baby. Thank you!! :D

Love your knitting videos and your patterns. I only wish you would slow down not just in your knitting but also in your speaking. When you are knitting a special stitch or not just simple knit and purl, please make sure you are angling your work so the camera can get a clean shot of your work. Sometimes your fingers get in the way and you are going too fast knitting and speaking. Many times you are showing work in the top one third of the frame in stead of in the middle of the screen. Not all your viewers have the same level of expertise in knitting and it will help many like me if you took into consideration the above suggestions . Thank you.

Please specify which specific yarn you are using. e.g. not just DK but sirdar snuggly DK or whatever. Also which needles you are using, whether UK or USA sizes.

Very nice sweater pattern. And nice video. What would help is for you to slow down when you are explaining something. Explain in advance slowly what you are going to do AND WHY, then when you are knitting that, slow down again. Especially where you are not just knitting or purling. This way the viewer is not just merely parroting your actions, they are also understanding WHY they are doing it, so they can do it next time on their own. It would also help to show the steps on screen in words, e.g. show the words knitting 8 , or making one, etc. just some suggestions for your to get more out of your content. Thank you.

Made a mini jumper as a sample for a bigger project using your tutorial as a guide. Only the sleeves are to be knitted now, your technique of Raglan increases was the only one I could follow and I am hooked! Thank you so much 🩷🩷🩷

You could use double pointed needles to make the sleeves... it is so much easier!

@@RubyIrish-o3v Hi Ruby! You can definitely swap out magic loop for DPNs if it is easier for you. I personally find magic loop easier so that’s just my preference for sleeves:)

Hey. I’m a little lost. When you start knitting across the wrong side, what’s the name for that style? Do we continue doing the long tail cast on? Or is that a different style? I’m so very new at this… so, I’m sorry for my ignorance
@kaaburaknits2 ай бұрын
@@Mis_hormonaslocas Don’t worry this is a great question!! Once you’ve finished with your cast on, you’ll either be working “knit” stitches or “purl” stitches as directed in the video. If you need to pause and learn how to do these techniques, just KZbin “how to knit and purl” and there will be many resources for you. I hope this helps, please let me know if you meant something else:)
@Mis_hormonaslocas2 ай бұрын
Sorry if I phrased my question poorly, it was 2 am😂. So, “purling” is the stitch you you when you start knitting across the wrong side ? Thanks for your answer btw🩵🙏🏼😊 Also: when you start that part, you continue the tail, or the working yarn?
@kaaburaknits2 ай бұрын
@@Mis_hormonaslocas Ah I see!! Yes purling is for the wrong side, and you will use the working yarn at that point not the tail:)

Thank you for the pattern. I'm quite happy to be following your instructions to make this wee cardigan. I, too, would like buttonholes higher in the sweater and am adjusting to do so. I'm not fond of your m1l and mkr to increase the sleeves so have altered the pattern. At 2 sts before the marker K1fb, knit 1. slip marker, then K1fb at first stich after the marker. This places the twist evenly either side of the raglan increases. This, to me, is a much nicer delineation for the sleeve increases. ❤
@kaaburaknits2 ай бұрын
Hi Dorothy, I'm glad you're enjoying the pattern!:) Also, using whatever increase technique that is most comfortable for you is a great way to go. They all have their pros and cons- the K1FB leaves both increases leaning the same direction, so you won't get that symmetrical look the the M1 increases give, but I do find the K1FB more comfortable on the hands. Knitters choice as I like to say:D

I have a question about the guage . You say 21 stitches and 28 rows. Should that produce a square ? I would really appreciate any help as this looks a lovely pattern. Thank you ❤
@kaaburaknits3 ай бұрын
Yes, that would produce a 4x4 inch square if you're on gauge:) However, to knit a gauge swatch you'll want it to be slightly larger in order to accurately measure. Try casting on 30 stitches and knit for 5 inches, then measure 4 inches by 4 inches inside of this swatch to see if you're on gauge!
