It is! As crazy as it sounds. This was my main bike through my high school years until I stopped riding in 1991 when I went away to college. I left a couple of bikes with a friend in 1992 when my dad moved out of state, so I wanted to keep the 2 bikes local instead of out of state or in storage. I figured I'd pick them up maybe months or a year later at the most, but I wound up never picking them up, and a lifetime later, my friend found me online and we met to catch up and get the bikes back to me earlier this month. 😁

Is there a tab for naked Sunday
@ChrisWong136 ай бұрын
I didn't actually find bass tabs, but it's not that involved as far as what notes are played. What I hear is mostly riding C with some slides, and a quick chromatic climb from E to B flat to B to C, and a couple sections of B flat to C, like under the guitar solo. It's a short song, but it's more about remembering the patterns for the slides and the overall arrangement. It's a tough one for me since I never really played thrash, and it's using some of the same galloping technique on the right hand. Don't think I'm that locked in with the rhythm, but it's not a completely terrible take. 😁

@@minusmartin They're solid bikes. 👍
@minusmartin3 ай бұрын
@@ChrisWong13 my question is: would you rather spend the 400 on the 2023 haro interstate, 450 on the 2018 wtp versus (both stock and almost new) or buy a custom from another guy that has a (wtp network frame, odyssey caliber cranks, boss stem, shadow symbol wheels, supreme chain, S&M fubars, and a sunday dark wave fork)? is the custom one worth more getting into rather then getting the cheaper ones and upgrading later?
@ChrisWong133 ай бұрын
@@minusmartin That's a tough one. They're similar bikes, but the WTP frames have a shorter rear and a lower standover. That plays into the types of tricks you want to do. I prefer the OG brands, so I would usually pick a Haro over WTP, but that's just me. You should pick whatever you prefer. I also like buying a stock bike and customizing from there. That way, I get to pick and install everything myself. The WTP Network seems to be a better frame since it's a signature model. And it depends on the parts you want. If they're all parts you'd pick anyway, then sure, go with the custom bike.

Hi Chris how to I make mine “gears” into a cruiser any tips for long rides?
@ChrisWong138 ай бұрын
This bike comes with 28/9 gearing. I had 25/9 on another bike and I think I liked that a little better since it was a little easier to crank. The big bikes from GT come with 33/16 or 36/16 gearing. I haven't ridden a big bike, so I'm not sure how the gearing feels. 36/16 on a 20 inch bike would be pretty soft, but with 26 or 29 inch wheels, I'm guessing it probably feels similar to 25 or 28/9. If you have one of these bikes, I'd say to try 25/9 gearing to make it a little easier to crank. Here's a GT Power Disk 36T sprocket. These are available in white or black: www.porkchopbmx.com/gt-110mm-bcd-bmx-bicycle-power-disc-silve-46157631.html If you want to switch to 36T, you'll likely want to switch the wheels or rear hub to a 13T or 16T.
