Were these bats moved to another area because they were in an attic? I live in southeastern Québec and in a mountainous area...I used to see a few bats every evening during the summer, it has been two years that I haven't seen a single one, so sad......

KD - thank you for the comments. I use a humane eviction process which includes the application of "exit chutes". These chutes, which are sometimes called 1 way exits, allow the bats to leave the structure unharmed. I went back to this farm, a few years later, and the bats took up roosting in 2 bat houses which were erected on the Customers house. During the winter, the bats migrate to the caves along the Bruce Peninsula (basically in the Customers back yard - not a far migration at all). <>< Allan
