Thank you so much for sharing your progress with us! Just wondering, when working with traditional backgrounds how would animators create a scenes with background elements both in front of and behind a character? For example a character walking through a forest. Would the background work have to be done first, then the character animation? Or vice versa?

Thank you for watching and commenting. Please note that this is in English and some parts may not be understood. Are you asking about the order in which the background and characters are drawn? Basically, the department (or company) that draws the background and the department (or company) that draws the characters are different. The work proceeds at the same time. In the case of backgrounds, we receive the original drawings from the animators and draw based on them. So the order would be character first.
Fantastic, inlove your work and Nicker paints. Is the motif Würzburg?

Thank you for watching and commenting. No, I did not paint any particular place. I painted it because I wanted to depict a European-style landscape, which is often the setting for Ghibli movies.

how did you break the tip of the brush? by hand or by another method? I tried to break my sakuyo brush tip did it still became pointy, not into pieces like yours
@nickerenoguАй бұрын
Thank you for watching and commenting. They have multiple brushes, new and old. The newer ones are for drawing thin lines because the tip of the ear is more organized. The old ones lose their cohesion as the bristles break or fall out. Then you can practice and control it.
Thank you for watching and commenting. What kind of room, for example? School classroom, dining room kitchen, living room, conference room...please give us some examples.
Hello, could you give me the name of the brush used to paint the white cloud at 5:32? Where can I buy it? Thanks a lot

Thank you for watching and commenting. This brush is a round brush for Japanese painting. It is called “SAKUYOU” or “SENBYOU”. It is a round brush for Japanese-style painting, and it is called “SAKUYOU” or “SENBYOU.” It contains paint well, and the tip is sharp, so you can draw fine lines and dots freely. It is also useful for drawing buildings. By not keeping the tips together, leaves and grass can be painted in a short time. It is a very versatile brush. You can buy it on this site. zenmarket.jp/s/nicker/n80328

hello, what's the brush that he used to paint grass, like at 5:12? I noticed that the bristle body is round but the tip is more like a flat brush and it's some how jagged, resembling the grass. Could you please tell me the (English) name of the brush and where I can find it?

@@nickerenoguwhy do you copy my question…
@nickerenogu2 ай бұрын
Are you watching the videos properly? They are different ways of painting, but they are using the same brush. So your question is the same answer for both.
@LinhTran-om6qh2 ай бұрын
@@nickerenogu I watched it carefully and I didn’t know that he used the same brush. It’s my lack of knowledge but that’s why I asked questions. Copying my question and implying that my question is also the answer is not useful to me or anybody at all. Thanks for the answer but you really should change that attitude.

You guys seriously need to put videos up of these paintings being done from start to finish. Time-lapsed, slightly edited of heck even just real time . I'd watch the whole thing.

Thank you for watching and commenting. As we explain in the program, we sell the version with everything in it as a download in our online store. It costs a lot of money to film the show, so we are able to maintain the program thanks to people who really want to learn and purchase it there. nicker-shop.com/?category_id=632c07b42e7452392e7ef3b1

@@nickerenogu I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but even when purchasing digital download only items from your web store, you still have to provide a Japanese address and a phone number. I can manage with that, but it might turn away some potential buyers. Thank you for this great video series. ❤

I wonder what's the difference between the Designer Color and Poster Color of Nicker?? I am planning one of the set but I don't know which one to choose. 😅
@nickerenogu4 ай бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. Poster Color Jar 40㎖ 65 colors Tube 20㎖ 36 colors Stronger hiding power than designer colors Designer Scalar Tube 20㎖ 70 colors More gum arabic than poster colors, so it has high weather resistance and can be applied smoothly. Does not become muddy even when mixed colors are used. What do you think?
