Great work! I am exploring your channel. I am very curious what it would take to add a rotary cutter such as yours to the Fusion machine library.
@PhoenixRailIronАй бұрын
That would be fantastic if it can be done. I am just starting to explore different ways to program the machine.

Do you sell plans for this? Can it cut rectangle tubing?
@PhoenixRailIron3 ай бұрын
Thank you for your interest. This can be modified for rectangle tube. We are working on plans but are a ways away from putting them up for sale. We will reach out when the time comes.

I would like to get a set of plans for the larger pipe cutter. Can this be modified to cut rectangle tubing?

Thank you for your interest. What country are you in?

Hello from England. I would like to see the square tube machine on your website.
@PhoenixRailIron4 ай бұрын
Hello! A square tube processor will be put on the web site in a couple weeks. Unfortunately, we don't ship to England. That said, I am wondering, if we offered plans so you could build your own machine, is that something you would consider purchasing, if the price were right?
@del00ze4 ай бұрын
@@PhoenixRailIron I would say that it was interesting for either a full set of plans included a comprehensive bill of materials and parts list required including your recommended source of linear slides, bearings, any gears, rack, belts, Mach3/4? motors, drives, BOB, software etc. Don't forget in Europe we prefer metric. I would assume that making the chuck is probably the more technical part of the build for most people even if it takes advantage of laser cut parts where DXF files would be helpful. Or a stage 1 set of drawings and helpful DXF files for the construction and let the customer sort their own 4 axis motion control system out.

@@del00ze Thank you for the input! It is really appreciated. I prefer the metric system too! It will be easy to provide both. Stay tuned... there may be a set of plans available shortly.

So did you make this or purchase it, what software are you post processing with? Sheetcam tube?
@PhoenixRailIron4 ай бұрын
I build these to order. This particular one is purpose built for 4x4 tube steel. It uses Sheetcam as a post processor. Is this something you would like to have in your shop?

How do you change the chuck out/reconfigure for different tubes?
@PhoenixRailIron4 ай бұрын
There is a cassette, of sorts, at the front of the machine (just behind the plasma torch). There is a different cassette for each size pipe. It isn't the most efficient setup, but it works very well, and is very inexpensive, if you only process one or two sizes of tube.
@NorthernFabandMachineLLC4 ай бұрын
Fantastic idea for simplifying over an adjustable jaw, I have a cnc plasma table so I could make cassette inserts and a universal carrier. Thank you for the reply!

@@NorthernFabandMachineLLC it's even easier if you are just processing pipe. Check out this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5eadaWYebt_nZI

Does SheetCAM generate all of the X, Y, Z, and rotation code that is demonstrated in the other videos? It looks like you are running all custom-built CNC equipment. WOW!!
@PhoenixRailIron7 ай бұрын
Yes, sheetcam generates all of the gcode, including the rotary axis. ...and, yes, I have built all of this equipment.
