Camille Paglia is one of my favorite people in the world. Cuttingly incisive, witty and erudite, profoundly insightful, her analysis of culture society and the arts is matchless and without peer.

She’s smart and i love her. But she’s TOTALLY wrong about the natural (& genetic) origins of homosexuality and exclusive homosexuality. There IS exclusive homosexuality (& heterosexuality); and there ARE genes associated with homosexuality but more importantly there are prenatal conditions in the womb which predispose the fetus to homosexuality. And it’s been hypothesized that populations with a small percentage of homosexuals within them (who support communal efforts but do not compete for mating partners or other resources) are much fitter for survival. Homosexuality IS natural, it CAN be exclusive, and homosexuals ARE born this way and Gaga IS correct on that issue.

Chillingly prophetic in hindsight, her concerns regarding the Internet. This was uploaded on Nov 5, 2014, almost exactly 2 years before Trump became US President. Russian collusion, fake news, TikTok, cultural tribalism, QAnon conspiracy theories... welcome to the Age of the Death of Truth.
