Thanks for the information on about pain managment ✌ I am currently "looking at transplant" . It is a understantment when doctors say are you "addicted to pain relief" when realistically the pain killers are like heaven to me at times.

how are you doing now? And why do you need a feeding tube? Like what is your illnesses. I have terminal cancer along with gastroparsis and Astema and I dehydrate super easily and POTS and EDS I hope you are all straightened out now. I just had a feeding tube situation myself. went in yesterday compltetly prepared to have to redo my feeding tube placement all over again because it was leaking so bad and we had no clue as to why. then the dr figured it out and all it needed was my inner and outter buppers to be tightened I have the mushroom end not balloon type of tube,, so it was a fast fix. I was there maybe 1 hour and that time was spent waiting to be called in and to be checked in once I was in the back I was there 5 mins and out going home. I'm so sorry you had to go threw that. That looked pretty painful when she put that red thing in there. God Bless

What i just watched the nurses pinning baby down to get ng in numerous times was disgusting for a adult its hard even if sedated and that was wrong i know jessica was upset to i know tube will help but the ways they did it not ok
@sunshinenickerson96796 жыл бұрын
Lisaa they did this according to hospital protocol which was to immobilize him then place it. It was an older child so he would have fought if they didn't immobilize him!

Why is the tube insertion going so fast? Is there a way to just show the perfect one?
@sunshinenickerson96797 жыл бұрын
You guys did almost everything right, however there should have been NO pillow at his head, a heart piece of tape placed right beside his nose to prevent removal of the tube, Posey Mitts on his hands AT ALL TIMES. What also helps is an AMT BRIDLE. Look it up. What it does is it goes through BOTH nostrils and connects to the tube so when he tries to pull it out the AMT BRIDLE pushes on the bone in his nose putting pressure so he stops immediately.

I take amitriptyline and I love it! I've been on it for almost 3 years. It's pretty hard to adjust to but it gets easier every day. Just be prepared for it to knock you out and it does cause some temporary vision problems but nothing to worry about! Let me know if you have any questions!

Question. Was he admitted to Vanderbilt Children's? I recognize the rooms lol as a fellow Chronic Illness warrior. I just got out of their a few week ago after being there 17 days and being treated horribly there by the doctors (as you know the Teams rotate every week and the 2nd week I was the team was horrible and they committed medical negligence). I finally begged them to let me come home on TPN which is what I am still on; I am failing NJ feeds (I have had an NJ tube for 6 months). I have felt the exact same way with the Vanderbilt doctors and the adult ones as well (the adult side had discharged me keeping nothing down at all and they couldn't pass another NJ tube because I was not far out enough from surgery). Lol I actually just realized that I was in the hospital from May 29th, 2017- June 14th, 2017 so our hospital stays overlapped
