PETE SEEGER wrote "TURN! TURN! TURN!" in 1959. The lyrics are based on the first eight verses of the third chapter of the biblical "BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES," with the exception of the title, which is repeated throughout the song, and the last two lines. In late 1965, THE BYRDS transformed it into a folk rock arrangement, and it became a worldwide hit.

Go ahead and call them the Byrds, unless someone else owns the name. Marty Stuart would've fit in here perfectly. He's an honorary Byrd ...

It’s about the music and a man-Bennie Mardones-with a one in a million voice who came to pay tribute to Roy Orbison. And you felt it necessary to comment on his coat??? Wow.

Isso sim que é cantor de verdade, não aquele Michael Jackson horroroso, voz horrível sem talento nenhum, deve ter feito algum tipo de pacto ou magia infeliz .

Roy would have been blown away with Bennys performance. One of the most underrated voices of his time. The man could belt it out.

Lew suffered a lot health wise through no fault of his own. He was dealt a bad health hand, but handled it as best he could. It's sad that it caused him to quit the Statler Brothers and cut his life short. He was an immense talent and wrote one of the most iconic songs in music history. He certainly left his mark on the world, I'm happy that he's no longer suffering.

I had the honor of being a member of the Hurricanes many, many years ago. Growing up I was a true fan of Benny's and revisiting this clip is poignant, to say the least. There's a knowing smile in this performance. One that says, "I've got this." I saw that often; standing next to him on stage. RIP my friend.

What Lew had to say about Jimmy was pure class. Jimmy is over the top talented, but that endorsement from Lew and the fact that Lew picked Jimmy out himself just shows the great character of the man.

A legend. Too bad he was cursed with those health problems for most of his life. I'll bet he never imagined Flowers On The Wall would be the song that launched the Statlers carrier.
