John 14:6 is one of my favorite Bible verses, because Jesus' words are comforting knowing and believing that He is the (only) way, the truth, and the life. He's our answer for everything. In fact, the past couple of days has been cool enough to wear a sweatshirt or sweater. We need to remember God is always faithful and to be thankful for EVERYTHING!! Thank you for a roof over my head, thank you for my children, my spouse, food to eat, my bed, etc. Look for everything, especially the little things to thank Him for and then you’ll really see how good & faithful God is!

Every night I say a pray to God varies depending on my thoughts for that day. As life has hit with loss of family, friendships, pets and other situations over the past couple of years. No all are going through something just hit hard at times feel helpless and wonder briefly what next God. Sometimes family or friends may not understand but no God does. Praying to God for guidance each day as I continue to move forward. Looking for that special something to lift my spirit, brights my day when it happens no God is with me.

I love how God wants us to pray to Him any time about any thing. No need is too big or too small to bring to His Throne of Grace.

How can we hear it? Scripture tells us. Romans 10:17 "Then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (We receive the "word" in many ways. The "Word" is Jesus Christ!); John 1:1-5. God the Holy Spirit teaches through the Word of God in the Bible. Isaiah chapter 7: verse 14: "Therefore the LORD shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and call His name "Immanuel." Hebrew: עִמָּנוּאֵל, "God with us" in human flesh but without sin. The Savior of the world was born to die for our sins! He did so 33 years later. His terrible ordeal; body mutilated; blood poured out, finally died and was placed in a tomb and rose from the dead the 3rd day ! "HE IS RISEN" Matthew 28:6 John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3: 23 " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 "1 Corinthians 15: 3 "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" ***BY GOD'S GRACE ALONE THROUGH FAITH ALONE IN JESUS CHRIST ARE WE SAVED Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast." Jesus died and paid the penalty for our sins to rescue us from eternal death. He died on our behalf. WHOSOEVER BELIEVES SHALL TESTIFY TO THE TRUTH Romans 10: 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” TO DIE IS TO REJECT SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST AND BE SEPARATE FROM GOD FOREVERMORE Salvation and forgiveness of sins is the blessing of anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We receive the baptism of God the Holy Spirit immediately which seals us in Christ and that is permanent! Ephesians 1:13-14. Those who reject the free gift of salvation, see John 3:16 above, "perish", which means their sins are judged by God the Son and they suffer eternal separation from God and the family of God forever called the "second death". Revelation 21:8

I wish I were better at writing letters. As a teen I had many pen pals and corresponded with people all over the US and even some in the Philippines. It was a fun hobby and I enjoyed getting to know so many people. Along the spiritual lines of being a letter written for God’s Glory, I encourage you to check out a song written by Gary Chapman. It’s called Sincerely Yours and is a lovely, prayerful song I think you’d like. (If you can’t find a copy of Gary singing it, Debby Boone also recorded it.)

I just wrote a letter to my cousin to put in her birthday card. She doesn't text. I like to write real letters every now and then. I agree with you. I miss letters. Most of the people in my life who used to write letters to me have passed onto heaven. I like that verse. We are living letters to those around us. I'm thankful that I can respond to your message today on my tablet. I haven't been able to type on it for a few weeks. Happy 4th to you and your family!

That father also went against the rules of the time/area by running to his son. Older, dignified men did not run in public. He was also in a hurry to get to his son before the guards could because if they got to the young man first he would not have been allowed to come back again because of his actions. Yet his father had such unconditional love for him, just as God has for us! I sure am grateful for that!

Wow! Thanks for the powerful yet simple reminder of the importance of forgiveness. Stephen was an incredible example of a person who could forgive even in the middle of the injustice and physical pain. Reminds me of Jesus on the Cross doing the same thing. If they could, why do find it so difficult and sometimes don’t even attempt to forgive?

We still have our sin nature and, this side of heaven, will continue to do wrong. But we are also blessed with a Savior who will continue to forgive us & wipe us clean! Wonderful analogy!
