My Samsung Frame Remote's Power Button / Start Button stopped working. Tried this and it worked perfectly. ❤ Avoided purchasing new remote ($35). Date: Oct 2023.

If some buttons not work, just remove the whole white sticker with the buttons (carefully) clean the button press areas with isopropanol use e.g. a Q-Tip

Brilliant and thankyou. Not to go to the lavatory on your lovely bonfire but if you cut them leaving a hinge like a door then you can still clean and tape back down in the exact place . Cheers old bean…..Orrnge

I usually never writes on this kind of videos but as other people said before it’s a really great tutorial! I just got my new tv with the remote control having a defective button, because of the seller I wasn’t lucky to get a replace just a partial refund, not bad at all! But I got lucky to find this video and get my control working! Thank you very much!

You can use the big O-ring that comes with the oil filter (Mann HU821X) in the vacuum pump by removing the front cover with four screws instead of paying $800 to replace the whole vacuum pump. The aftermarket seal often fails too, so this is a cheaper and better option. I haven't tried it myself, but I know a few people who have, and it worked for them. Also, while you're at it, replace the metal gasket (MER-6420160280) where the pump connects to the engine, as that can leak over time as well. People have successfully done this on 2012-2015 ML, GL, and R class vehicles with the OM642 engine, but I believe it should work for all OM642 engines, regardless of the model year. Just remember to clean everything really well with brake cleaner and a lint-free cloth before installing the gaskets to avoid any leaks later on. Do this at your own risk since the vacuum is used for the brakes!

Hi. Thanks for your reply just a year later LOL anyways I fixed it by cleaning everything and applying permoflex gasket maker and it worked like a champ. I did it over a year ago and is great. No leak as you’re all you just need to clean it. As you stated in keeping everything cleaned up wile you doing it make sure the oil is not draining so what I did I opened it up and clean the pump on the inside really good before quickly reinstalling it!

If the oil filter housing starts leaking, replace the whole unit as only replacing the gaskets can cause a leak again and additionally there is a valve inside the oil filter cap which can break over time and if that happens the engine will seize without any warning. So it's better to replace the whole unit.

The issue can be resolved without cutting anything: The white cover is all one large sticky film covering that holds the small metal rectangle contact devices in specific placements. Slowly lift the edge of the white tape film nearest to the non-working button. The small metal contacts will stick to the film as you gently pull up the film. Then you can clean the underside of the metal contact and wipe the circuit board area under the metal contact. I cleaned my metal contact while the film was only half pulled up, and the metal contact still stuck to the underside of the film. If the rectangle metal contact falls off the film, make sure it is rotated correctly. Look at the neighboring contacts to see how it was rotated (the contacts orientation is mirrored across a vertical axis, top to bottom). Once done, slowly lay the film back down and ensure it's nice and snug with contacts in place. All done! No cutting!

Was it the Carb sync that made the turn signals and horn workmanship or the turn signals and horn made the carbs balance ? ... the number two guage read a little lower than the rest. This was not a Carb balance adjustment video.

I've found that ring and the gasket for the vacuum pump for about 30$ on amazon but it was the only place that sell them. It is sold like for Sprinters but it fit GL350 2013 W166 in my case. I hope somebody will find this useful. The name of the product is "RKX 3.0L 2006 + Vacuum pump Re-seal Rebuild kit compatible with Dodge / Mercedes Freightliner Sprinter"

I just fixed my samsung smart tv remote. It's right navigation button was not working.when I checked samsung support person for new remote,it costs 1700 Rs . I just saved this money bcs of this video.thank you very much.
