My personal experience with meditation has been the same. It is true. It does happen. I started meditating and after a week, I suddenly started getting anxious at times without any reason, including violent thoughts. That's when I realized that this happened to me in my late teens when I used was away from home, struggling to manage things on my own. But the good thing is that meditation is the very key to deal with those ugly feelings. As you continue meditating, you will learn that acceptance is the key to peace. Meditation opens up your subconscious but also brings out your dark side. Good thing is it teaches you to manage that too.
