Zestino Acrova’s! 265/35R18’s! Super grippy but have a bit of understeer on the track. They are only a 280 tread wear (I think) though so wasn’t surprised by that. For the price they are unreal!

I’m making the same power but getting a lot of roughness on #1 & #4 then randomly it’ll jump to #2 & #3. But only when I change from gas. It’s worse on 91 but then almost goes away on full e85. Wonder if my injector are getting clogged. No loss of power. Holds 25 psi like nothing. No smoke or codes. No blow by or loss of oil. Afrs are normal & goes away when driving normally or in boost. Super weird
@Saiyan215 күн бұрын
Id pull the exhaust headers off and check to see if your valve guides fell out of their seat. Could also be bad gas mixed with clogged injectors. If your still maf could be dirty as well.
@DanielKellert4 күн бұрын
You can get your injectors flow tested but doesn’t sound like that’s your issue. Sounds like an issue I wouldn’t be able to diagnose unless I could see the car in person 😬 do you actually feel the misfires? How consistent are the roughness counts?
@Owensti4 күн бұрын
@DanielKellert Yes you can feel the misfires at idle, it goes away sometimes depending on what gas I use. On cylinder 4 it gets around 30 and below & cylinder 1 no more than 20. But literally about a month ago it got above 50. Thing is tho I’ve changed my maf & cleaned it, changed spark plugs, checked for vacuum leaks, & nothing. After my coolant hits 145 degrees it’s like it magically goes away but ever so often at idle it’ll jump up to 1-2-3 then back to 0

@@Owensti I live near 2 very reputable shops and all the work was done at those 2 shops, full suspension overhaul and engine overhaul. I always get my subies inspected at one of those shops too before purchase -- plus im buying it off of someone I know so its a little easier to do all that double checking. Thanks for looking out dude!

I have a similar setup on my '13 STI (ETS FMIC, Verus hood scoop block-off, and no air box - bc of FMIC piping) but my intake temps get really hot. how do you minimize heat soak in the summer?
@Owensti6 күн бұрын
Heat shield or turbo blanket, or you can make your own Intercooler sprayer. I’ve seen people run windshield wiper fluid as it evaporates fast and doesn’t corrode

@tacosanloresno awd on a honda is only good for drag strips on cars making 600+hp. Not worth an extra 10-15k and losing your fuel tank to do that IMO. It isn't a true awd. It's like 85 front 15 rear. It also adds weight, which you don't need more of in a track car. It's been done plenty and it isn't "exciting".

Thank you for the video. I had trouble getting my pilot bushing out and ended up having to use the bread trick to get that out. I took the transaxle out on the passenger side to make those 3 hard to get to bolts that hold the steady bearing to the back of the engine a whole lot easier to get out and back in. Your video gave me the confidence to do it myself on my 2015 civic si and it is working perfect now. Almost done with the 500 mile break in period

Just updated my head unit in a 2011 RA for wireless Android Auto. My car had the same factory radio and had BT calling. I hate how aftermarket mics look in the open so I just cut the casing off the mic from my new Pioneer unit and threw it in a piece of foam in the factory mic location in front of the dome lights. Just tuck the wire into the headliner and run behind pass A pillar plastic and you're done. I highly suggest doing this over the cheap looking mic out in the open. I would also recommend a steering wheel interface over programming in the head unit, if you disconnect the battery a lot of aftermarket head units will require re-programming each time. Also at $400+ this is at the same price point as Pioneer and other name brand head units with the same features minus raw screen size, so consider your options.
