Hi there, thanks for asking. The B 990 is sold through specialized BERNINA dealers around the globe. Please visit www.bernina.com/dealersearch to find a BERNINA dealer near you. The B 990 is WiFi-capable. It is possible to transfer designs from the BERNINA Embroidery Software 9 (optional) directly to the machine, or vice versa. Of course, it is also possible to transfer designs via USB stick.

You can't buy (me) love, as the Beatles sang 😉. The BERNINA 530 from Marloes has been around for a few years now (the video was published in 2016). This model is no longer part of our current range of machines. @@BerninaInternational Haha, I know, I was just musing…. I’m a Bernina girl and adore my favourite machine, my beloved 1990s 1010 (whom I call Bo Derek… ‘cos she’s the perfect 10, geddit?!) I also have the 530, 600, 640-2 and an 818 that I all just got given by a friend and now need to clean and restore … tho my heart does want a newer 3 series Bernina one day…. But with now 20 machines, 17 vintages, an industrial and my 1010 and a cheap basic Brother which was my first machine, I can’t really justify it… or have the room! 😂😂😂)

Gerne geschehen 🙂. Bei den geriffelten Metallteilen handelt es sich um den Transporteur der Maschine. Der Transporteur bewegt den Stoff. Es ist möglich, ihn zu versenken. Der Schalter dazu befindet sich auf der rechten Seite der Maschine, siehe dazu dieses Video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4G0nZuiqZeDr6M Achtung: Ist der Transporteur versenkt, muss man das Nähgut von Hand bewegen. Das erfordert Übung, weil die Hanndgeschwindigkeit mit der Nähgeschwindigkeit koordiniert werden muss, ansonsten werden die Stiche ungleich lang. Am besten testest Du diese Technik erst mit Probestücken.

Wir können Dir dann auch nicht sicher sagen, ob sich der Transporteur absenken lässt und, wenn ja, wie das geht. Thank you for your question. We assume that you are referring to the machine's faceplate. In the case of the B 990, a light-colored plate was chosen in a complex design process. One important reason for this was the size of the machine. Black would have looked too massive. Yes, the machine is a little out of line with the B 590 and B 790 PRO who both have black faceplates as the top models in their series. This has been done on purpose. The B 990 is special in every respect.

There will certainly be people, both men and women, who can also lift it.
