Actually surprised the secret island platform in Midnight Mountain Spyro 3 in PS1 is not mentioned. You cannot reach it unless you use cheats and it has 3 lives on it!

To this day this game is still my default answer to the question "what is your all time favorite game?" it's just such a fun time what with the morphs and the themed stages and monkeys.

This game was the first video game I ever 100%. It was also watching the credits at the end that I learned 3D artists existed, and when I decided I would become one. Been in the industry 6 years now! This game was bottled inspiration

Toys For Bob censored the guns in spyro and called it a fix to fantasy, but Toys For Bob does not understand anything about fantasy nor they have the right to call it a remaster if they intend to change such defined details, the details of the guns make you feel like you are inside a military bay and not in a cosplayer marina, it is not accurate and the fan base should have called out Toys For Bob more for ruining many people's childhood game with non sense marketing tacticts aimed to selling the game as much as possible to make more money which is ultimately controversial and someone should definitely make a mod to restore what Toys For Bob made incorrectly, this is very unjust that a company gets away with it and if Toys For Bob really wanted to make something of quality for the fans then they should fix the guns as soon as possible or get cancelled for ruining a game from the childhood memories of so many people all over the world, spyro is so famous even MCdonalds had it in its happy meals, they can't just change what they don't like, that is not how a remaster works, all they had to do was improving the quality of the game not change it in a way that upsets people and makes it less immersive, the guns make it a little more immersive because they are something that exists from real life and it gives you an idea of the proportion of the enemies but instead they just choosed to remove the guns and give them jelly shooters, this is not how it was, spyro the dragon or spyro 1 is the most serious spyro game and many appreciate it for the seriousness, while the second is less serious than the first and the third is less serious than the second the first was the most serious and most immersive one, they just bought the ip and they did like they wanted by ruining that part and censoring things in a very bad way, that is not a fix but a mere pr stunt to sell more, let's just admit it, they just wanted to sell, and they did not care if it was the same thing but remastered or a complete change, you must remember that big companies are not your friend and it is up to you to make them notice their mistakes by pointing a huge reflector on their painfull mistake to that they can feel ashamed and fix it like those who made the sonic movie, after many pointed out that the sonic movie was going to be trash, it was corrected and everything went the right way in the end, so someone needs to call them out on this, otherwise imagine if companies start making soulles remasters like the grand theft auto definitive edition, it's the same level of remastering that they applied to the guns in spyro the dragon, this is something awful that companies do to squeeze more money, but this is nonsense, we need to make this clear with them and with all the fan base, this is unjust, this is evil, this is not right, this should not be something that companies start making, Toys For Bob should get cancelled for this.

I find it odd this hidden gem of a game was put on modern consoles especially in these strange times where Politics are a lot more toxic. I can imagine someone calling the game Racist because there’s no Black people lol.

Does anyone here have any idea how to unblock the boarded up slide in Escape from Horrorland? I thought I remembered my cousin finding an axe (I'm talking nearly thirty years ago, forgive my fuzzy memory lol), however I've just watched a video showing the secrets and that item was used to initiate the whack-a-mole game with the worm. Did that item also work as an axe or is it a completely different thing? I've never been able to find a guide online, especially for 100%ing everything such as collecting the cards. Like honestly it doesn't reaaaalllyyyy matter now, but it's just always irked me I never figured it out haha. Thanks all! ♥

It’s amazing how you’ve reviewed all 3 of the original ape escape games on PS1 and PS2! Some of my all time favourite games ever! I seriously can’t get enough of them. I would love to see the third game brought out to PS4 and PS5 but rift the inclusion of the metal gear solid mini game, it’s probably easily said than done.

I've got this game, too and it's sure it makes me feel like Buzz Lightyear whenever I play it. And now that you mentioned Andy Blythe and Martin Joustra's music, I've always liked this game's music, as well as Muppet RaceMania's music. And did you know? Those two games are the first Travelers Tale's developed games AND PS1 games in general that I got as a kid.

Don't know if it was meant as a direct reference, but in the message rhe sorceress leaves spyro at agent 9's level in fireworks factory before he's unlocked, she calls him "Spiro" possibly referencing Spiro Agnew

Being suckered by the Mummy Returns game trailer is so relatable 🤣 I did like the fact that you could dismember the undead folks and use their own body parts against them though. I was like, "whoa! This must be what playing M-rated games feels like!"
