Out Getting Ribs might not be one of the greatest indie guitar intros, but it is unlike anything else you can draw comparisons to. Indistinguishable and completely singular in style and attitude. How lucky are we to have feet on the earth at the same time as Archy

I love the effects in the intro of Out Getting Ribs on this version. The distorted fuzz sounds so cool.

So sad her family didn't have her back. She has a beautiful voice and I think she would have made it big. I hope nothing bad happened to her. Maybe she ran away to make it big some other way, or maybe she found herself a really nice man.

I stumbled upon her reading about Connie Francis, for some reason one of the search recommendations was something about Connie Converse and so i read about her and decided to listen to her music. It feels as though i was meant to find it in a way..the way she sings, the lyrics all seem vaguely familiar and nostalgic but almost eerie at the same time and i think its so beautiful. I only wish more people knew of her music, and that she did not come to a tragic end. That she found peace and lived out her days happily.

I don't blame anyone for her not being as well-known as she should be. It's not conscious, in most cases--people just don't GET some art. It's too bad, but it's human, and it's understandable. We need to push beyond our own boundaries and LISTEN and LOOK, and ask ourselves WHY does something new and strange scare us off? And the silver lining is that though she's gone, her music survived her.

She rocked in Cassiopaeia's chair and woke the dragon and roused the bear. And where they buried her I forget, But the man in the moon isn't married yet. Cool chordal changes and coloring, and her wide vocal range sounds lovely at both ends. What a delightful compilation of recordings in the raw. I wouldn't change a thing.💗
