All tutorials start with dirty shoe. But what should I do when my shoes had a mirror shine say month ago, they became somewhat dirty and I want them to look great again? Do I wash everything off and start from beginning?

I love the heart and soul that go into repairs and restorations. Some vintage goods were made with future repairs in mind so they could be enjoyed much longer if cared for and repaired with skill. I think they give a lot more depth and complexity than something brand new and mass produced.
