I was surprised I got more range than their spec for Sport mode! I covered 20.5 miles in Sport mode to their estimate of 18.6 miles (though they say that's at max speed). If I rode this side by side with the Ninebot MAX G2 and went MAX G2 speeds I think it would get the 26.6 that the Ninebot MAX gets, but this is a much faster scooter, so range gets penalized. -Paul

I haven’t tested the Mantis X Plus yet, so I don’t have a feel for the price vs performance right off of the top of my head. But I generally Wolf X vs Mantis is going to be a question of stability vs portability. Wolf X has amazing stability, but it’s large folded size and the fact that you can’t carry it by the stem make it much harder to put in the trunk or carry upstairs. For fun factor, they’re both sky high, but in a different way. The Mantis is more playful, the X leans a littler more toward power cruiser, even though it’s sporty around corners and more playful than the big Wolf scooters. -Paul

Unfortunately that version 1.11.1 seems to have been pulled by Segway. I updated our MAX the morning I did the speed runs and the newest version the app would give me was 1.7.6 I checked again immediately afterwards and the app still insisted nothing newer was available. Then I saw on Reddit that they had probably pulled 1.11.1 I'll re-test the G2 again at some point if the re-release 1.11.1 -Paul

@@Eugene.Golubev I got the update with boost mode too and makes good difference to start hard and acelerate to short hills that are common here, so it get up my experience with the G2 but I would like something with some more power to keep up with cars in hills

Is it fully charged? Tires aired up? Are you in sport mode? When you first get them they are limited to low speed for the first 1/2 mile or so. Then you get more speed and power. -Paul

The highest speed for any country is the ~25mph limit that this one has. If you were to somehow hack it so there was no speed limited I predict that it could hit about 38mph in boost mode. But I don't think it's possible to actually completely unlock it. -Paul

@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Amazing Paul, you are really a huge asset for ESG, I have seen other reviews from other channels but those from ESG and those from you in particular are on a whole different level. That's why I wait for ESG reviews before buying. I own a Boosted Rev, which is still great, but it's now 5 years old and the range is even lower than it used to be. I got a Chinese clone of the Rev (Maxfind, don't know if you'll ever review that) which is not bad, but for reliability I think a reputable brand will last much more, so Apollo or Inmotion (or Ninebot) are clearly reputable brands (the Go seems better overall, but the Climber should be lighter and has local service while with I have no Apollo dealer in my country so I need to import and be on my own for repairs). One last thing, no youtube channel mentions what I consider a very important element, tire width. They only mention tire size. But I have learn that width is critical for safety. For instance the Rev is 9in and 3in wide, the Maxfind is 10in and 3.5in wide, the GO I only know it's 9in, but is it 2in or 2.5in wide? The Climber, no idea... That would be a very useful info to add.

Wow, great question. Very different performance and portability. The GT2 is much quicker, the Pro is more portable. To live with the Apollo is going to be easier, for flat out performance it’s GT2. But to really use for daily transportation… I’m back with the Pro again. I own a Pro myself. I got one of the few chromed ones they made. -Paul
