FedEx is the worst courier in the United States. I had my package held at location and 8 minutes after it was delivered it was stolen, clearly signed for KDRAKE, stolen by the delivery driver. I had my package held at location so it wouldn't get stolen from my front porch. The driver delivered it and then stole it and took it home

I worked for Amazon and hated it with a passion, I was treated like crap and over worked now I work for fed ex and love it, people are so nice and I do half the work I did at Amazon

My experience working for FEDEX in Colorado was not good at all. They only trained me for two days and then left me by myself. There were days I would get stuck in the mud or in the snow. It would take them anywhere from 2-4 hours to send someone to pull me out. I would arrive at the facility around 7:15 Am and wouldn’t get off until 8pm-9pm. Not a job for the weak to say the least and they pay is definitely not worth it.

I just wish I could get them to put my 1000’s first (closest to the station) because my 8000’s are coming up first and I can’t reach those suckers. So I’m doing a lot of backtracking for no reason. I cannot find a way to have my truck loaded correctly. I know it’s a DRO sequencing thing, but no one knows how to do it.

I’m thinking about moving to FedEx from Amazon. The Rivian vans are really nice though and the gps is much better at Amazon.

I work for an Amazon DSP and since we are the newest DSP at our station, we get the hand me downs when it comes to vans. Very few have straight body panels on them and there’s always some kind of malfunction light lit up on the dash. They just tell you it’s a sensor and send you on your way. I usually get 140-180 stops a day with 200-275 packages. The pressure to fly through your day is pretty high. If you are too slow, you aren’t guaranteed a route. I’m going to a FedEx Ground contractor because I was told that I’d never have over 100 stops and their vans are newer and better maintained.

I stop prioritizing stop by stop after learning that for me groundcloud’s direction make a little sense sometimes. I check GC’s route and if it makes sense I run by it. If there are small errors like splitting stops in the same cul de sac, you have to pay attention. In those situations where you have to deviate, all you do is open prioritization and circle the stop you intend to make, and leave with orphans, wait about 15 second for GC to optimize and now you are back on track, in order, sometimes a new order, but no back tracks. Hope this helps a new driver or old.

FedEx has a (mostly) unspoken reputation in the public of poor delivery especially on the driver/contractor end. For every good driver that does a great job, there is a corporates culture that ignores customers who get bad service, often getting painted as unreasonably, over demanding complainers. For customers needing signed deliveries, you are basically held hostage at your home all day, only to have the drive NOT knock on the door, leave a sticker, and is gone. And before the “not all” police chime in, I know that, but bad driver service happens all too often with FedEx drivers. treated like the enemy

It's a toxic culture at FedEx. A lot of employees get treated like garbage too. The only ones who don't are those who are related to someone else in the company or someone who just happens to know someone else in the company. Nepotism and cronyism are rife.

I miss working for my contractor, I’d kill all my 100 stops in under 6-7 hours go home and get paid for the full day, now I’m with express so seeing you running like crazy brought back crazy memories, I’m a lot more relaxed now that I’m hourly and I don’t ever get anywhere close to 100 stops
