I remember when I had to pay $2 to take the 2 or 5 train to times sq or grand central and then take the 7 into queens. The 2 train would take about 20 mins while the 5 was about ten. Now I have to pay 2.90 for a ride that takes about 25 mins and I have to deal with crackheads, people using five seats to sleep, and the risk of being pushed into the tracks. Instead of fixing that. They made it more comfortable for those types of people to stay. They then increased the pay because of other people. That's why I don't pay anymore. I just ask someone to swipe me or just hop (after making sure no cops are around.)
