How we all will devolve into evil in the absence of good. BUT seek and ye shall find, ask and ye shall receive. It was an answer to a prayer to the almighty that saved George, the family, the town, the troops and the business. There is power in prayer and God listens to the heart. Dark, foreboding and negative thinking gets you exactly that, perpetual darkness........Where good is absent, evil abounds....That's the message of Wonderful life.

Jimmy Stewart suffered from PTSD after the war & it had a negative effect on his career. He couldn't find a job. After several failed auditions Stewart's agent scheduled Jimmy an audition for "It's a Wonderful Life" wrongly thinking it was a sequel to 1939's "It's a Wonderful World" which also starred Stewart & practically guaranteed Stewart would land the role. Both movies are set in upstate NY.

In the UK, years ago, the radio used to censor anything they thought was mildly suggestive. So some clever comics realised that if they put in random bleeps in place of totally innocent adjectives they could make some banal dialogue sound really filthy - in the listeners head. Just proves that you can make anything sound like anything if you mess around with it; always look at the whole thing before passing judgement.
