No HOAs in Croatia! Even with condo communities, people do what they want with their units in Croatia, although with newer buildings, you do have to pay monthly or annual condo dues to the building condo association for maintenance and insurance. There are just no design rules, etc. I've been living in HOAs in the US most of my adult life! Thankfully a thing of the past! As someone else commented here previously, cities and towns have their own development and planning ordinances such as structure height, footprint/lot ratio restrictions and the like when buiding a home, but there are no neighborhood HOAs in Croatia.

I see most of our Croatian people are in some way offended by video. It's amazing to see somebody puts effort to learn our not so easy language.
