I regret every time I shave. Think about after you shave, most will begin a beard back within 3 months.

Updating my profile picture after each month. So far it's 1 month in. But it looks much better than the last time I did a 3 month grow around 4 years ago. I think I'm going to go for the full on natural burley mountain man look but that might just be me being naive 😂

Hey Todd. I’ve been anticipating ur next video to know what u’ve done. So glad u didn’t shave off. Looks awesome. I’m wanting to hurry and get there lol but I believe am finishing my 11th week now of my 2nd only beard wanting to stay the course and be proud of it. Mine is white as well. Do u find u have to keep more conditioner to tame the wispy’s of the white beard. Plus’s in ur opinion how often can or should u brush and comb to avoid damage or breakage?

Most days I will run my fingers through my beard and kind of shape it with my hands, but just like with hair on top of your head, you need to comb it out every so often to get rid ofthe hairs that wanna fall out. A good beer to shouldn’t damage your beard versus using a comb that’s meant for your head.

@@ClintonWhite-z2i I also will use hair conditioner in my beard occasionally to help soften it up, but I do use a two in one beard shampoo and conditioner a couple of times a week, which helps.

You can't twist upwards when your mustache is short, let it grow longer it will be easier to curl upwards if that make sense.

Todd thanks for sharing the info. I’m currently staring my 9th week of my 2nd beard. My last was 6 1/2 yrs ago. Self maintained till my 5th month then had it professionally trimmed and kept it till the 7th month then shaved. Do u feel growth oil really works or supplements? Thanks

@@ClintonWhite-z2i Hi there! Why did you shave so quickly after the professional trim? As far as beard growth help, drinking water, eating well, sleep, vitamins, collagen, and beard oil can help promote growth over time. I don’t think any of those things make a beard grow magically quick.

@ thinking back I’m not real sure more than anything u got tired of messing with it. But hopefully this time I’ll look at it differently. I’m retired now. I like to spend time making it look at best I can. Want to be proud of it. I just about had a catastrophe haha. I had the trimmers looking in one mirror to another to get the back edge. Then when to reposition myself with it still running and caught the bottom of my neck, a little bit, took off a couple weeks growth, barely but decided to let it grow out. Lol. Lesson learned I won’t do that again.

@ good afternoon Mr. Todd. Do you feel or have u noticed that the beard comes in a little slower as we age? I can’t tell from the first I grew one. I certainly don’t get the 5 o’clock shadow like some. And I’m not as active as I was when working. But I do eat somewhat well and take a methylated multivitamin. Plus try to stay hydrated. Soon to 64’

@ I feel like my beard took forever in my 20s compared to now. If you’re attentive and trimming every day you may be getting impatient with the growth. I know I have in the past. Most beards grow about a half an inch a month.

I really can relate to your last advice ( don’t look for perfection ) Ive done this in the past looking for perfect symmetry and ended up shaving it off altogether ! Now I truly believe that the natural asymmetry on both sides is the factor that gives character to the final look !

Thanks Todd for the monthly tutorial. I’m 63 and starting my first beard. I’m about at 3 months and hope to continue on. My wife did mention this morning that I should shave that off 😂. My beard doesn’t grow as fast as yours but is coming in darker than the few head hairs I have left.

It is recommended that the front edge of the beard be rounded and the tips of the mustache narrowed because they are too wide and too thick at the point where they intersect with the beard, so they seem more important and more emphasized than the beard, and they should be of the same thickness, and it is best to adjust the length of the beard with the largest insert of the machine. with a larger number of combs.........otherwise your explanation is absolutely excellent and usable........regards

Brilliant I’m between months 3 and 4 in growing an epic beard. My hair went white early on and is quite similar to yours so I’m finding this perfect timing. It was getting a bit weird soz I’ve trimmed the sides and shaped it and I’m feeling a lot more confident about my current look . I have a Brio Beardscape too. Great trimmer I shave my head with it too. I'm on the regrow again myself maybe month 5 or so. My last big beard was 3 yrs old about 15" probably
