What a voice ! Beautiful guitar part. But, to be honest, without the lyrics, l wouldn't have recognize the song 🤔.

First saw Stan's Blues Band in The Green Man Pub, SE18, around 1979....l think. Saw them again as Nine Below Zero not long after. Have kept my eye on them over the years, not least cos l fancied Mark Feltham! Also saw The Fabulous Thunderbirds around the same time at The Marquee, Wardour St. The wonderful Mr Kim Wilson being yet another top-draw Harp player. ........what is it with me and harmonica players !??😉 the late 70s in London for live music was just the best time to be a teenage IMO. Still married to the 17yr boy l was chasing around after at your gigs - the poor sod clearly couldn't run very fast😂!♡ I've just come back here for a bit of nostalgia time: you delivered! All The Best. Great Band in all their guises 👍

I've been made a believer in the banjo after Dougie played Cornwall Folk Festival last weekend. It's amazing that he is still writing really catchy and beautiful songs at this point in his career when he could easily just perform the old hits. Just fantastic.

such a great and simple song from John Martyn from 1967.... loved your version of it .. hope you can hear poor Sandy Denny's version also from 1967 vintage (Sandy met Martyn at Les Cousins when she was performing with Renbourn and Jansch)... for some reason I also thought of poor Licorice (Likkie) Christina McKecknie from Incredible String Band and her sweet voice on I Love You.. Licorice disappeared around 1989 and even her sister doesn't know what happened to her.

It was an impromptu performance with no rehearsal. Also Spencer is not a performer - he sometimes sings at the Gathering in honour of his dad because he is amongst family and friends.
