Hi Morenike, I really liked you graphic "niche" - quite unique, love it. I have to do some bookmarks for a friend which I have not done before and wanted to know do the colors come out as expected? Do you get Indesign to manage colours or the printer? Are you using CMYK or sRGB? What settings do you use - your workflow would be helpful? Thanks!

Hi @jphilpotts777, thanks so much for watching and for your kind words! I’m glad you liked the style! 😊 For colours, I work in CMYK since it’s generally more accurate for print. I print directly from InDesign, as I find the colours are more consistent that way compared to exporting to PDF. InDesign manages my colours, and I often soft-proof on screen to preview how they might print. Test prints are really helpful, too, since colours can vary by both printer and paper type. I use a thick 300gsm matte-coated paper and adjust my printer settings to “best” quality and “coated” paper type. For my workflow, I set up files with a CMYK profile, use high-quality images, and ensure that all text and important elements stay within the bleed area. Hope this helps, and good luck with your bookmarks!

@@jphilpotts777 You’re so welcome, glad it was helpful! 😊 I convert my document to the Coated FOGRA39 CMYK profile for printing on coated paper.
