Here is the complete Ram Raksha Stotra with its English meaning for each verse. This sacred hymn invokes the blessings and protection of Lord Rama, ensuring peace and victory for the devotee --- 1. Invocation श्रीगणेशाय नमः। Salutations to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. अस्य श्रीरामरक्षास्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य। बुधकौशिक ऋषिः। श्रीरामचन्द्रो देवता। अनुष्टुप् छन्दः। सीता शक्तिः। श्रीमद्हनुमान् कीलकम्। श्रीरामचन्द्रप्रीत्यर्थे रामरक्षास्तोत्रजपे विनियोगः। This hymn of Ram Raksha (protection of Rama) was composed by Sage Budha Kaushika. Lord Ramachandra is the deity of this stotra. The meter is Anushtup, Sita is the source of its energy, Hanuman is the pillar of support, and it is recited for Lord Rama’s blessings. --- 2. Meditation on Lord Rama ध्यायेदाजानुबाहुं धृतशरधनुषं बद्धपद्मासनस्थम्। पीतं वासो वसानं नवकमलदलस्पर्धिनेत्रं प्रसन्नम्।। Meditate on Lord Rama, whose arms reach his knees, holding a bow and arrow, seated in a lotus pose, clad in yellow garments, with eyes like lotus petals and a serene face. वामाङ्कारूढसीता मुखकमलमिलल्लोचनं नीरदाभम्। नानालङ्कारदीप्तं दधतमुरुजटामण्डनं रामचन्द्रम्।। Seated with Sita on his left, his face radiant like a lotus, Lord Rama has the complexion of a dark cloud, adorned with various ornaments and matted hair, and shines brilliantly. --- 3. Prayer for Protection चरितं रघुनाथस्य शतकोटिप्रविस्तरम्। एकैकमक्षरं पुंसां महापातकनाशनम्।। The glorious deeds of Lord Rama are endless, extending to hundreds of millions of stories. Each syllable of this hymn destroys even the greatest sins. ध्यात्वा नीलोत्पलश्यामं रामं राजीवलोचनम्। जानकीलक्ष्मणोपेतं जटामुकुटमण्डितम्।। Meditate on Lord Rama, dark as a blue lotus, with eyes like blooming lotuses, accompanied by Sita and Lakshmana, adorned with a crown of matted hair. सासितूणधनुर्बाणपाणिं नक्तं चरान्तकम्। स्वलीलया जगत्त्रातुं आविर्भूतं अजं विभुम्।। He holds a sword, bow, and arrows, slayer of demons, and has manifested in this world to protect creation through his divine play. --- 4. Body Protection Verses रामो दाशरथिः पातु शिरो मे राघवः प्रभुः। May Rama, son of Dasharatha, protect my head. राजा दशरथः पातु मम नेत्रे जनकात्मजाः। May King Dasharatha’s son protect my eyes, and may Sita’s husband safeguard my face. कौसल्येयो दृशं पातु च सुमित्रा सुतः श्रोत्रम्। May Kausalya’s son protect my sight, and Sumitra’s son (Lakshmana) my ears. नासिकां भरतश्चैव मुखं सागरगोपकः। May Bharata guard my nose and the protector of the sea (Rama) guard my mouth. कण्ठं कुबेरमित्रश्च स्कन्धौ दिव्यायुधः। May the enemy of Kubera (Ravana) protect my neck, and may the wielder of divine weapons guard my shoulders. करौ सीता पति पातु हृदयं जामदग्न्यजित्। May Sita’s husband protect my hands, and Lord Parasurama’s vanquisher protect my heart. मध्यं पातु खरध्वंसी नाभिं जाम्बवदाश्रयः। May the slayer of Khara protect my abdomen, and may Rama, supported by Jambavan, guard my navel. सुग्रीवेशः कटी पातु सक्थिनी हनुमत्प्रभुः। May Sugriva’s lord (Rama) protect my waist, and Hanuman’s lord guard my thighs. ऊरू रघूत्तमः पातु रक्षःकुलविनाशकृत्। May the greatest of the Raghu dynasty protect my legs, and the destroyer of demons guard my knees. जानुनी सेतुकृत् पातु जङ्घे दशमुखान्तकः। May the builder of the Setu bridge protect my shins, and the slayer of Ravana guard my thighs. पादौ बिभीषणश्रीदः पातु रामोऽखिलं वपुः। May the one who crowned Vibhishana protect my feet, and Lord Rama protect my entire body. --- 5. Glorification of Lord Rama रामो दाशरथिः शूरो लक्ष्मणानुचरो बली। काकुत्स्थः पुरुषः पूर्णः कौसल्या आनन्दवर्धनः।। Rama, the brave son of Dasharatha, is invincible and accompanied by Lakshmana. He is from the Kakutstha dynasty, the complete and perfect being, and the joy of Kausalya. सीतापतिः महावीर्यो महासत्रु निबर्हणः। The husband of Sita is supremely powerful and the destroyer of great enemies. रक्षःकुलनिहन्ता च रामो रक्षतु मामिह।। Rama, the annihilator of the demon clan, may protect me always. --- 6. Benefits of Chanting रामाय रामभद्राय रामचन्द्राय वेधसे। रघुनाथाय नाथाय सीतायाः पतये नमः।। Salutations to Rama, the blissful one, the moon-like giver of joy, the protector, and the lord of Sita. यः पठेत्स्तोत्रमिदं सर्वत्र विजयी भवेत्। Whoever recites this stotra will always emerge victorious in life. इत्येतत्पुण्यं रामरक्षां सम्पूर्णम्। Thus ends the sacred and auspicious Ram Raksha Stotra. --- This powerful hymn emphasizes surrender to Lord Rama, trust in his divine protection, and the destruction of negativity.
