Sometimes I wonder why I quit Cat and moved elsewhere. But now I no longer drive and living in a wheelchair due to a stroke. And I'm in western Washington near the ocean and its getting to be too expensive for me.

Peoria needs more skyscrapers

I've watched quite a few videos on Peoria lately and am familiar with several other much larger cities. Having been there only once (in 1960 at the age of 11) I still recall what a nice city it was. Through watching those many videos lately, I'm blown away with the many amenities of this fine city. Being one who's avocation is architecture (both modern cutting edge yet appreciating the importance of architectural preservation) and urban lifestyle (yet amazingly handy to the suburbanite and even rural dweller), I see a city whose many cultural, architectural (modern cutting edge and preservation of 19th century beauties and everything between), historical, gastronomic, leisure (including a wonderful baseball stadium), warehouse district, educational offerings far surpasses that which many would associate with quite larger cities. Is this really a city whose metro area is less than a half million? In terms of amenities noted, it would seem to be a much larger city. Whether an urban, suburban or rural persons who enjoy the offerings of vibrant big city ambiance Peoria is truly a gem and fits the bill for any of these.

Illinois so broke, the cops set speed traps for themselves...If you are traveling across the US, go around Illinois. If you can't, and travel through Peoria, Speed trap set up on the overpass at I-74 / I-6 interchange. Staties hit the out-of-towners like clockwork. Just sayin'

Why doesn't IHSA hold anything in Lincoln . Always Peoria . So Peoria must be great then . Lmao

@@donaldshryock2852 I dont know what that means? When I originally wrote the comment I believe they were showing Lincoln as the greater Peoria area...that's why I thought it was funny. I fixed my comment....(i dont even remember writing it haha)
