I’ve published a number of poetry books, and I was like to ensure they’re available both in paperback, and e-book formats also, which means that people have a choice when reading my books. I find it quite a few young people still prefer the paperback as opposed to the book

I am registered blind and I like the text to speech facility on the kindle. I’m not sure, but I believe the Cobo doesn’t have that, which is one reason I wouldn’t purchase of Cobo. However, I do also like physical books, and have quite a collection of Braille books, mainly poetry, on my bookshelves

I have always been a big reader. I am always reading a book. Currently I am reading Red Seas Under Red Skies by Scott Lynch. A close friend of mine took it upon himself to buy me a Kindle. I kind of resented it. I was very quick to tell people, "I like the tactile experience of turning pages." I left it in its box for about six months. I finally opened it and set it up. I haven't looked back since. I love reading on an ereader. I've never had that desire to own books. Even when I was on paper they were always used books (that I traded) or library books. I now get almost all of my Kindle books from my local library. Love it.

I remember few years back after my wife died, I was left alone with 3 kids. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with bipolar. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment changed my life for better. I can proudly say i'm totally clean for 4years and still counting. Always look to nature for solution to tough problems, Shrooms are phenomenal.

I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

I remember getting my first CD Player and CD Music Disc. The player had a warning to watch the volume of the receiver until you heard the music. The CD sound was breathtaking. I did not have to worry about how good the cartridge was and if the tone arm was balanced. I did not have to worry about scratches or the warping of the album. I switched my LP collection to CDs. I did not look back. I also did not go for the streaming. I did the same thing for video switching from VHS to DVD.

CDs are by far the worst music format of all time. So many of their downsides are not in this video. They are even more brittle and delicate than vinyl - one scratch and it’s useless. They are barely portable and less robust than cassettes. They are clunky and the packaging is 90% of the time a broken ugly plastic case. They are ugly. They are only a “good value” if you value things other than music itself, because compared to streaming it is a joke and really expensive. I personally have always felt that they sound sterile. None of the character of vinyl and cassette, none of the rawness and “loudness” of streaming, just limp quiet clean sound. CDs are the worst format for listening to whole albums - because they invariably contain random bonus tracks if it is an older album or rerelease, and albums that were released in the cd era are usually padded with filler more than usual because the 90 minute length is too long. Also, compared to cassettes and vinyl, there is no natural intermission. The a-side b-side experience is a fortunate quirk that I subjectively appreciate. Also, I personally believe that an hour plus is just too long to listen to something uninterrupted. They have no metadata embedded in the digital file. Embarrassing. Unless you have a CDJ Dj setup, it takes a long time for them to spin up and start playing music. These little details matter in the experience of listening to music. The cd era was a dark age. Ownership is an amorphous concept that is more philosophical than practical. The ability to play any album ever made, anywhere, immediately, for almost no cost, FAR outweighs having a bunch of plastic in your house. CDs will NOT have any kind of meaningful resurgence. They are flawed, cheap corporate products that filled the awkward gap between analog and internet music eras.

In this panel... only Ben Goertzel is able to grasp the true depth of Ethics and Morals in AI. The others are just salesman. This is/will be exactly the problem with AI: we cannot think and act in a true respectful way for common good. We are not yet able to talk without second level defense mechanisms or feelings of inferiority.
