Thanks for the video. Is it necessary to torque the bolts when you put it back on.

So I was ready to give up and then I watched your video and just decided to get a little bit more aggressive than whammo. The tire went on really 5:10 easy. Amazing what you can do once you think you can get it done instead of think you can’t get it done

Tried this one with my gs. Had the whole bike leaned on the sidewall of the tire, still couldnt break the bead. Did have the bike fall over on me though when the tire popped out from under the stand on one attempt so that was fun. Was really hoping it would be this easy

What do you do about balancing the tire and rim? Thanks in advance.
@a.c.e.75682 жыл бұрын
It looks like breaking the bead is easy when you only had 2500 miles on the tire and it hasn't been on that long, but when it is on for a few years, that changes things. You should try installing a stiff Michelin Anakee 3 on a R1200 GSA LC. Lots of lube used, tire in the shallow drop center, etc. All my other GSes, R100 GS and R1150 GSA are easy in comparison.

Helps having a 500 lb+ bead breaker. The tire laughed at my bike and my 225 lbs of wieght, ….great video though

Bill, Using the side stand to break the bead is genius! I’m a new rider and I was wondering why the rear tire doesn’t need to be balanced. Thanks for sharing.

On a GS, the rear wheel is shaft driven, not chain and so therefore gets bolted straight to the shaft. Shaft driven bikes only need to worry about balancing the front
@TheRogerKyle2 жыл бұрын
@@joshuabowen8918 even shaft driven bikes with tpms sensors need balancing

Come on over to Kentucky and Ride the Kentucky Adventure Tour and please stop by my house and show me that trick on my 2019 R 1250 GSA with the original B-Stone Battlax Adventure. The trick is to run a TKC 80 that was just change 2500 miles ago. Great Idea and I really appreciate the video.
