Your comment of the static inside a class is something I've learned at my job trying to pass access to callbacks which are static given that we're compiling wrappers for c APIs. Our sollutiom was to delegate the static functions to a class that has no constructor & destructor, and another class (non static) that holds the actual members from the functions handler. Said object is isntantiated inside the .cpp file of the class and now we can access and assign those required c-styled callbacks to our wrapper functions with no further issues. Good explanation 🙏
