Is there a specific specie of Uromastyx that may be considered a bit more docile? Like for example there are the Uromastyx Ornata and the Uromastyx Macfadyeni, are the Macfadyeni a bit more docile and maybe warm up quicker?

@@Berecutecu as a rule I tell people that all Uros are invividuals and all have the same potential to be great pets, no one species is better than another 😎

@@aridsonly thank you, this makes sense. I'm educating myself about them. In the US do you have trust breeders that have generations of CBs that you would recommend? I'm between adopting an Uromastyx or two Rankin Dragons (a strong deciding factor is finding trust breeders that have CB experience)

Did you guys see animal1guy, he is teaching an ornate sign language? So far, simple motions for food (pinching motion) or no food (open hand). But she picked it right up!

This is why I love uros- they are similar to my wild, red head agama colony! Did you know that when the male agama has his fighting colors on, his body turns white with black and gray hieroglyphic type markings- just like the uro patterns!

So many of the characteristics of Uros remind me of the red headed agamas. Several behaviors. They can even look similar.

Some people may have successfully co habbed Uros. I personally always tell people that whatever they’ve heard from anyone else, pay very close attention to your specific pets. Thank you for putting in the work with Uros. I’m glad these awesome lizards are more widely captive bred than they were a decade ago.

When do you usually start separating them? I just saw my uromastyx thomasi babies of the same cluth (less than 2 months old for now) fighting, biting and chasing each other, is it a sign that I should separate them now?

@@aridsonly you know, that's funny coz I was wondering if they were the same. The species names are different. I googled it and what I saw was pretty ambiguous but I decided that they were different based on the info i saw. But you say they're the same, and they definitely look the same! Thanks for clearing that up!!! 😃😃😃

Nice video, Phil. Maybe you'll touch on it in the second part of the series, but I'd like to ask you if you follow a particular pattern when it comes to putting the pairs together after brumation. I mean, do you introduce the male to the female in the female's terrarium or is it the other way around?
