I would modify it by buying the most powerful laser so it would become a weapon.

I've seen people do this actually. There are KZbin videos of people doing mods to phaser props so that there's a laser installed within. Of course the laser isn't strong enough to actually stun a person or do any actual damage but the one downside is if you do this you need to wear eye protection because the laser unfortunately IS strong enough to damage exposed/unprotected eyes, when this of course was never the case in the shows and movies. kzbin.info/www/bejne/faqqmIlrhtukoJI

how do i get my hands on a screen used phaser prop?
@AlexWalker
@AlexWalker 4 жыл бұрын
It originally belonged to a collector who won it through the IAW or Christie's Trek auctions back in 2007-08. I traded some prop work for it back in 2010 or so.

Late to the game, but anyway: of course this is a moot point and just my personal opinion to this day: for any project that aims at conveying emotion and pure beauty: I take Super 16mm film over any digital format. Any. Even more the gold standard: 35mm or Super 35mm. It's everything: the colors, texture, patterns, how it handles light, edges, movement - and how the image holds together like a master painting. That glow during golden hour: film stabs you right in the heart, it's that gorgeous. The better film scanners get (2K is O.K. for (S) 16mm, 4K is good for 35mm) , the more it reveals the true beauty contained in the film emulsion. But it's just my personal opinion.

This is great. And the only GK I've seen wth, what I consider to be, correct scope mounts! Is that fake dust and grime too or has it been on display for a long time? 😜
@AlexWalker
@AlexWalker 9 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks. That's fake dust and weathering. Took a can of brown spray paint and lightly misted the whole thing. Used a rag to clean up. This leaves it in the grooves and crevices.
