Hey so you use the 3 ports on the rack? Or you have to block one port? Also did you already turn the pump on? Any trouble with the rack?
@GumptionGarageАй бұрын
It depends on the pump and rack. # On an EF, You use the pump to rack, and one return. Plug the third. I have not fully wired it yet. I do show the routing via factory service manual in the 2nd video. I am writing it in today and should have a video up soon.

T-25 torx bit for mine , and for those of you that have the push pin retainer fasteners on the tail lamp , there are 2 . One by each torx screw . I took my impact gun and drove a screw through the center of the pin a couple of threads and pulled the pin with pliers . Trying to pry them out just mangled the head on the push pin .

I don't thumbs up to like this, because I hate that this was done to you (or anyone for that matter), but I really hope videos like this help more people to consider cameras and alarms to protect their property from people who can't get their own shit together enough to stop stealing from others. I know we have a crappy system for helping people in this country, but that doesn't make it right to steal from people who are also just trying to get by. :|

You need the Leslie valve springs keeper tool you smack them with a hammer come right off. Sometimes the keep get stuck on valves . Just spray wd40 and wack them
@GumptionGarage3 ай бұрын
@@erikfreeman4620 I've used those before, and with success. But that would not have helped here. There was zero pressure in the keeps. They should have just slid out. They were friction welded to the spring cap.
Compression springs are on the down pipe to catalytic converter, not over the rear axle

@GumptionGarage. 😁👍 Would you recommend as a valve cover gasket?
@GumptionGarage4 ай бұрын
No, I recommend buying the appropriate oem style. They're only a few more dollars than a tube of this. But if no oem gasket then try finding something more oil resistant. Good luck.

Do you plan on installing an aftermarket alarm system? If so, can you make a video on installing one please?
@GumptionGarage6 ай бұрын
I totally would, if I was an alarm kind of guy.. I have so many anti thefts built into this thing.. non of which are discussed.. but I will be installing an alarm for the automatic door locks and I will discuss the wiring of all of it during that. It's coming up very soon, as that will be under the dash. Which is ready to go back on. So keep your eyes out.

Would be great to see someone show how to remove the connection harness, I’ve tried twisting, looking at the red tab, can’t pull it out, and what do you push, pull ? I don’t want to break off any ears.
@luisvelado99797 ай бұрын
Hello I have question about the connections , the question is one of the wires I don’t know where it connects which is the black and white that is on the driver side shock tower that is next to the black and yellow that connects to the distributor . The thing is that I don’t know where that black and white cable connects because it was cut in the middle of the harness I purchase and the way you did it inside the car where you got them connected do you have a tutorial on how to do it ?

@luisvelado9979 if it's not too late, I think you're referring to the starter wire.

Nice video! You did a great job. Did you paint it with the 2 k clear coat all at one time ? & How many cans did you use ? I see alot of videos they do it panel by panel. I just bought some cans of the 2 k to paint my 2005 Chevy cavalier and hoping to not have to do it panel by panel
@GumptionGarage8 ай бұрын
Thanks I did.. I used 6 cans, should have used 10. Doing it all at once was fine, but after doing that twice, I think I'll try panel by panel next time. Might look weird for a bit but, you can do a panel in a day. And take brakes.. sanding and stuff gets old quick. Remember not to put enamel and acrylic or vise versa. They won't bond. And the clear will flake right off. Good luck, have fun.
@kimjimenez55728 ай бұрын
@@GumptionGaragethank you for the fast reply . I appreciate it☺️ i ordered 6 cans to . I might order another 4-6 cans. I painted it with Rust-Oleum 2x ultra cover paint and primer high gloss black . The 2 k clear coat will work good with this paint right? ?
@GumptionGarage8 ай бұрын
No problem, I'm going on circles researching my k swap parts, so o need a mental break. I don't remember if the 2x is enamel or acrylic or not.. I used the Rust-Oleum metallic oil based and spray max and it didn't stick.. not sure if that was due to thickness or bonding issue but, i wasted my money. It was really thin too. Thus the extra cans.. after I sanded the 2k away I re-sprayed the metallic, then used like 24 cans of kryon color max clear (nice and thick) acrylic. I sanded, cut, polished, and buffed that to hell and back.. still on there. That's what I do know, and I got the receipts to back it up. Honestly, I like a cheaper, thicker coat route. If I got a 6 pack of 2k again, it would be for a motorcycle tank or something. I made more videos soon after this, feel free to check those out for results.
@kimjimenez55728 ай бұрын
@@GumptionGarage ok cool. Good-looking out I appreciate you taking time to reply with that info and for the good tips to , I'm diffently going to order some more 2k and I'll have to do some more research on the Rust-Oleum black high gloss paint I used to see if it will work with the 2 k and stick. 👍

@GumptionGarage9 ай бұрын
The sedan one is waaaaaay too long for a d16z6.. so this is a 91 civic si cable. I'm pretty sure I just ebay'd it. Don't forget to lube the wire with something before install. I love "tri-Flow", it works perfect. Cheaper to buy that local than Amazon. Good luck.
@wheniztheend9 ай бұрын
@@GumptionGarage okay, because my CRX has an F20b swap, and I figure it probably requires a clutch cable a bit longer than the OEM CRX cable. Crossing my fingers it's just the clutch cable, and not the clutch itself though.
