A lot of people talk about Johnny WInter And "Live" And say its the best thing J.W. ever did. And it is good, But my guess is they never heard Johnnys first album The Progressive Blues Experiment or "Johnny Winter" his Second album, Or Johnnys third album "Second Winter" This Album for me, As far as the sounds Johnny, Edgar, Tommy Shannon and (uncle) John Turner crafted were supreme. It's produced clean & clear as a bell. Johnny loved Rock Music But his first love was the blues.

For my money this is the best JW track ever. It's so deliberately experimental. He later got a lot faster and a lot smoother but more devoted to the blues, but this album, his third, was his creative peak.
