The backswing is nowadays almost straight back but at shoulder height with wrist cocked up and arm pronating right before striking the ball. Reverse C pattern is good for teaching beginners and intermediates. But the game has become so fast adjustments are needed.

His forehand is his biggest liability. It is better than 99% of players yes but it prevents him from being a consistent grand slam threat due to its lack of consistency in back to back matches. I would love to see him use a simpler technique with a more conservative grip.
