That's pretty dope! Last year I used the heat gun method and that worked pretty good except I couldn't get it to come off in one piece like you did here. Well, its that time again and the tint's gotta come off. I'm gonna try this. Thank you!

I have to be stupid or this is BS I've removed tint few times now with the ammonia and black plastic trick soapy detergent and black bag leave outside 3 hours in Aussie summer got sun still leaves all glue behind, tried steamer and hair dryer combined all methods the glass has that hot I couldn't touch it especially with the steamer method Please help am I doing something wrong I see you guys peeling tint back with glue unless it's fresh tint maybe or it's BS or I'm just unlucky as Tried this 4 times now on older vehicles that's tint on for minimum 5 years, over my course of owning vehicles as I hate old tint looks nasty So what am I doing wrong or is this just BS. Hahaha help a brother out

Thank you very much for the advice. It worked perfectly, I used water with rinseless wash p&s absolute and it came off without any problems. The installers who put the film scratched my film and also the rear window. Any solution to repair the scratches on the rear window without changing it?

This was an excellent video. I think I'm going to give this a shot on my Fusion. Hopefully by the time I do my 4 windows, I'll be confident enough to tackle the rear window. None of the windows came with any factory tint on them.

Is it true that you can't tint dual pane cause it will crack the window?
@sungminhong9673

If you tint inside glass, the heat gets trapped in between the pane, and it can break the seal.

Worked nicely for me. I used stiff thin cardboard from some pastry boxes to force the trash bag between window and seal which holds bag film firmly against the glass.

OMG!!! I can’t believe how easy it was!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! 😇 You are an Angel!! I am a 65 years old woman that wanted to save money. I can’t believe I did it myself. I tried one window first, to be sure it worked. If I flopped I was going to bring it to a shop anyway and pay $150 minimum to remove it. It took me a lot more time because I was not well organized and a little clumsy. I also chose a windy day thinking it would be more comfortable, But the plastic kept blowing off and drying the window. Anyway I stuck with it and once I got the hang of it , zoom-zoom, 10 minutes in the sun and what a piece of cake! Catching the edge with both layers of the film to start was the hardest part, and it really wasn’t that bad. Just have to take your time. I’m thrilled it can off perfectly and I not only saved money, I also impressed myself and hold bragging rights!! Everyone told me not to do it. Ha!! They don’t know me! lol I’m so proud of myself. Thank you again for sharing your secrets. YOU ROCK!!

Beast video, will you be doing a camparison between 2 staging and sweeps removals for new people like whatvif we break something along the way wtf do we do and not with enough experience pulling panels off 2 staging looks like the better option but comes with contamination if you make a video based on that bias would be appreciated from a experienced window tiner

Break the seal for the ones that don’t have the ceramic boarder. Use a ez reach and make room behind the seal and wet it back there to prepare for the install. Take your time squeegeeing clean. Dont spray the glass and just spray the film to avoid drip down contamination. If you have a problem w sliding when squeegeeing on then set it in place go install the roll up and come back and squeegee, that give enough time for the quarter to tack a bit and not move on you while installing.

I would not recommend using paper towels to clean the window, it can leave contaminates, I always used lint free towels, I also used canned air to blow out the edges first and then a lot of spray around the edges to pull out any dust... also when setting the film you can set the factory long edge vs the short to minimize cutting and reduce mistakes...but overall not a bad tutorial.
