4-6 wt rods are all suitable... not a huge river... 10-20" trout are typical...

Thank you for sharing this masterpiece! It's so cool to see how people would customize their fly lines before we started using compact Skagit heads and sink tips. I bet these pioneers would be tickled to see the gear we use today!!!

This video is great, religious sea run cut fisherman here. I feed em sand shrimps under a bobber or worm but also pistol Pete , wholly buggers or sculpin flys also panther martins or trout print spoons. Tidal areas only. I've told you all my secrets get out there.
