I replaced the front springs, and have bitubo shocks, which are great. But the Steering Damper is the only thing that fixed the wobble issue. The shocks did not fix the wobble, but the bike definitely rides much better. I have another video where i show how the wobble and how the damper fixes it. The Damper works really well, and locks the bike together. I recommend, especially at highway speeds of 75 mph+. I would almost say the Damper is a better buy than the shocks, but that's just me

I have a 2020 Triumph T120 and I can say without doubt it is the superior bike vs the Speedmaster. One big advantage IMO the T120 has over the SM is the lean angel in the corners. You can really push the T120 hard in the curves without the pegs scraping whereas the SM will scrape relatively easily in the twisties. The T120 is such a light and flickable bike that it impresses me even after 5 years of ownership!

@bike_addict I test rode a Speedmaster, and I believe the biggest thing is the body position. You know your shoulders and hand placement, perhaps even the feet which are ever so slightly forward. Also, I felt lower to the ground. On the Bonneville T120, more often than not, as I'm passing by cars on the highway, my helmet matches the height of the person sitting in the driver's seat for me that's a visibility thing. Making me more visible than if I was sitting lower to the ground and lower to that Driver's door as I pass by his side mirrors. That's an observation I had. For that reason for me personally I don't feel as confident as I am when I am sitting high up on my Bonneville T120. More commanding position I guess. Like someone who's used to riding a horse all his life, and then he gets on a donkey he might feel small and so low. Yeah, the King&Queen seat is incredibly comfortable. I went from Pennsylvania (near Philadelphia) to Kentucky in one day. Passing Maryland, West Virginia. I couldn't dream of doing that with the stock seat.

He has a Bonneville T120 like us. Which premieres on his channel the majority of the time. No channel showcases the iconic, timeless classic British motorbike than CLASSIC RIDES. Stunning scenery, soft melody in the background and an immersive experience as you behold God's creation in the UK through Matt's lens. Want to stop wobble? Don't take your hands off of the bars. Seriously. The T120's design takes the mass of the rider's arms and shoulders into account, using them as dampers. There's never any legitimate reason to take both hands off of the grips. Just one hand resting lightly on a grip is all the damping that the design needs. Let's not go identifying problems that don't exist.

Nice upgrades. I went with the Triumph touring windscreen knowing that it won't completely shield me. It takes a good bit of the wind off of my chest which is a good thing when touring but I still get wind on my shoulders & face which is also good since the screen isn't adjustable. I used to ride FJR's with the adjustable windscreen so one could put wind on or off you depending on the temperature. I went with the Hepco & Becker C-Bow mounting brackets and bags. I have a variety of bags including one's similar to your Givis. The brackets also are very unobtrusive when bags are left off.

I completely agree with you. Years ago, I stopped riding when I had sons to raise and now that they are grown and I am comfortably retired, here we are. I was going to buy a Fat Bob but the sales manager was quite dishonest, so I visited a dealer that buys and sells a large amount of used bikes. Keep in mind that I still thought Triumph was long dead, yet when I walked into the store, there sat a black/white 2018 Speedmaster. I sat on the bike, it was comfortable, so I bought it. Now that I have ridden it for a month, I realize that the handlebars and seat I want are from a T120, I hate the rear brake location, and the bike is too heavy, feeling somewhat clumsy. To make matters worse a friend of 50 years, offered to give me a completely rebuilt and professionally modified Honda 750-4, and I thought this Speedmaster would be better, and it isn't. This thing will be decorating my garage, and I will buy a T120 or a Speed Twin. Anyway, many thanks for the video.
